Pelosi Snaps At Reporter Asking About Safety Of SCOTUS Justices After Threat To Murder Kavanaugh (VIDEO)

Pelosi seemed annoyed at the question despite saying that gun violence was the key issue that Congress is focused on.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) held her weekly press briefing on Thursday that covered the House’s progress on a range of issues from veterans’ health to inflation to pushing the televised January 6 spectacle — and, of course, gun control.

Reporters were asking about the progress in the House on the Senate Bill that was passed in May to protect immediate family members of Supreme Court Justices following a wave of pro-abortion protests outside of their homes in the wake of the leaked Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization that signaled that the Court is leaning to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The House has clearly not prioritized the safety of the families of SCOTUS Justices as these protests have continued for more than a month.

Shocking SCOTUS Leak Of Draft Decision To Overturn Roe v. Wade Sparks Outrage, Protests

The foot-dragging by the House was made sharply clear on Wednesday when a man armed with a gun, a knife, and pepperspray was captured near the home of Brett Kavanaugh and admitted that he was going to kill the Supreme Court Justice and then kill himself.

As Pelosi was leaving the briefing, questions were being shouted at the Speaker. One question was about the safety of Supreme Court Justices and their families just one day after an attempt on Justice Kavanaugh’s life. Pelosi shot down the question and insisted that the Justices are safe.

She even had the gall to insist that “nobody is in danger over the weekend over our not having a bill.”

What in the hell is she talking about?

There are “negotiations” that need to happen with the Supreme Court Police Parity Act? That didn’t happen in the Senate.

The bi-partisan Senate Bill was introduced by by Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Chris Coons (D-DE) shortly after the leaked SCOTUS decision and protests outside of Justices homes were organized by pro-abortion activists. The bill was passed on May 9 with unanimous support in the normally polarized Senate.

The bill would allow the immediate family members of Supreme Court Justices to be given similar security protections as the family membes of some of the executive and legislative branch officials.

What is there to discuss?

Let’s be real, we all know exactly why the House is dragging this out as long as possible — they don’t want to anger the more rabid portions of their base.

Democrats have been using this leaked SCOTUS draft as a wedge issue for more than a month now, and it’s pretty clear that a few people have been radicalized.

As the Prime Time January 6 circus unfolds and the partisans on the Committee try to pin the blame on the “insurrection” on former President Trump, let’s remember how calm, cool, and collected Democrats were after the Alito draft was leaked.

Gee, that looks like it might have radicalized some people, no?

It’s getting pretty clear that we are living in a two-tier society where conservative views are anathema to the ruling class.
