Pelosi: ‘How dare’ Republicans criticize liberal hate speech before shooting — Video

While speaking to reporters on Thursday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., slammed Republicans who criticized liberal hate speech and rhetoric prior to the attempted mass murder of Republicans earlier this week.

According to the Washington Free Beacon:

A reporter asked Pelosi to comment on the possibility that the shooting could be used politically against the Democratic Party because the shooter appeared to be motivated by anti-Republican sentiments.

“Can you comment on the possibility that this incident could be used against Democrats or the Democratic Party politically because the assailant was apparently motivated by some kind of anti-Republican sentiment and we have heard comments from Republicans, including Congress, about vitriol rhetoric from the left being in some way to blame?” the reporter asked.

Pelosi responded by calling Republicans’ comments outrageous.

“The comments made by my Republican colleagues are outrageous,” she said. “Beneath of the dignity of the job they hold, beneath the dignity of the respect we would like Congress to command.”

“How dare they say such a thing. How dare they,” Pelosi added.

Here’s video of her comments:

As NBC reported, some Republicans, including Newt Gingrich, blamed the shooting on overheated rhetoric by Democrats.  We went further, blaming the media for helping to create the current political environment in which liberals think it’s okay to murder Republicans.

According to NBC:

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich blamed a “pattern” of “increasing hostility on the left” in an appearance on Fox News, prompting the host to press him on whether it was appropriate to be making such charges at such a time.

“You’ve had a series of things, which sends signals that tell people that it’s OK to hate Trump. It’s OK think of Trump in violent terms. It’s OK to consider assassinating Trump and then … suddenly we’re supposed to rise above it — until the next time?” Gingrich responded.

The report added:

Rep. Rodney Davis, R-IL, who was at the bat when shots rang out in Alexandria, Virginia, warned on CNN, “This could be the first political rhetorical terrorist attack.”

Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway stoked the narrative on Twitter, as did Donald Trump Jr., the president’s son, retweeting a tweet from a conservative commentator that connected the shooting to a controversial new production of William Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar.” In the production, Caesar, who is assassinated on stage, is portrayed in a way meant to invoke Trump.

Others on the right linked the shooting to comedian Kathy Griffin, who was fired from CNN’s New Year’s Eve special for posing with a fake severed and bloody Trump head. She later apologized.

Despite Pelosi’s rhetoric, the fact remains that liberals and their media puppet masters have gone over the top with eliminationist rhetoric ever since November’s election.  Not only have liberals attacked and threatened Republicans, they’ve gone after Trump supporters, with some advocating their death.

So yes, the left owns this and it’s time they dial it back…
