Of Course: Democrats Put Partisan Politics Before National Security in Response to Soleimani Strike (Video)

Last Thursday, a missile strike approved by President Trump took out two of Iran’s top terror generals. They were Quds Force commander Qassem Suleimani, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of Iran-backed militias known as the Popular Mobilization Forces. The President’s action was immediately followed by Democrats claiming that Trump’s act was “illegal” because he did not consult Congress before the strike. Democrats Soleimani response

That claim is nothing but another Democratic Party attempt to slander this president.  It’s no different than the Russia Hoax, the racism charge, the Ukraine hoax, etc. But this is worse. With their partisan response, Democrats are telling the world that they can kick us all they want because they don’t want the president to execute his Constitutional duty to protect America.  With their response, Congressional Democrats are proving once again they don’t give a rat’s arse about America, only about their party.

Former Obama DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson believes blowing Soleimani into pieces was a legal action by President Trump:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Or if you don’t want to believe Jeh Johnson, what about the 2000 Democratic Party candidate for Vice President Joe Lieberman, he wrote in the Wall Street Journal Sunday:

The claim by some Democrats that Mr. Trump had no authority to order this attack without congressional approval is constitutionally untenable and practically senseless. Authority to act quickly to eliminate a threat to the U.S. is inherent in the powers granted to the president by the Constitution. It defies common sense to argue that the president must notify Congress or begin a formal process of authorization before acting on an imminent threat.

On many occasions, President Obama sensibly ordered drone strikes on dangerous terrorist leaders, including U.S.-born Anwar al-Awlaki. He did so without specific congressional authorization, and without significant Democratic opposition. Mr. Obama also “brought justice” to Osama bin Laden without prior, explicit congressional approval.

CNN National Security Analyst Michael Weiss said that Soleimani ran a proxy war that killed “at least” 603 American soldiers in Iraq.

Middle East affairs analyst Seth Frantzman explained that one of Soleimani’s last terrorist acts was the recent attack of the US embassy in Baghdad.

In 1996 Joe Biden said any Iran attack on an American facility is an act of war (see video below). Using that logic, the Soleimani-led attack on the US Embassy in Baghdad was an act of war. So why is Biden playing politics and slam the mission, saying,  “President Trump just tossed a stick of dynamite into a tinderbox.  We could be on the brink of a major conflict across the Middle East.”

Thankfully we are not on the brink of war, but if we allow Soleimani and Iran to bully this country we will be at the brink. Iran will respond but they will respond on a limited basis. Iran will want to show their people they responded but will keep their response below a level that does not elicit an American response. The Iranian government is evil but they aren’t stupid. They know they can’t win a war against the United States.

Some Democrats are asking, “why now?” I agree. Soleimani was declared a terrorist in 2007 when George Bush was President, but he didn’t take him out. Barack Obama took out Usama Bin Laden in 2011 without telling congress first. He was still POTUS for five years after he took out Bin Laden, why didn’t he take out Soleimani.

Thankfully President Trump dared to clean up what Bush and Obama didn’t. Sadly the Democrats don’t put the security of the United States before their party.

Hopefully, the 2020 election will keep Trump and the Senate in Republican hands, and switch the house over as well. Because if the Democrats have proven anything over the past few days, it’s that partisan politics come before national security.
