The republicans and the democrats can’t agree on Obamacare. The democrats can’t even agree with themselves. While accusing the republicans of wanting to shut down the government and keeping it shut, it is the democrats who are voting against themselves in order to maintain the status quo on the shutdown.
Let’s go back to January of 2013. The senate voted 79-20 to repeal the medical equipment tax, but since it was an amendment to the budget it wasn’t binding. 34 democrats voted for repeal. Now, let’s fast forward to last week. The House passed a bill to repeal the medical device tax. Not one democrat voted for repeal.
