If the Obama regime gets its way, non-citizens will be allowed to vote this November.
According to a post at the National Review, a motley collection of far-left wing groups including the League of Women Voters and the NAACP are fighting to give non-citizens the vote. Worse yet, the Department of Justice, under Attorney General Loretta Lynch, is helping the effort.
National Review reported:
On February 12, these groups filed a lawsuit in D.C. federal court seeking to reverse a recent decision by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC). The Commission’s decision allows Kansas and other states, including Arizona and Georgia, to enforce state laws ensuring that only citizens register to vote when they use a federally designed registration form. An initial hearing in the case is set for Monday afternoon, February 22.

So how did that go? According to PJ Media, not so well, at least for the regime and its far-left allies seeking to destroy America’s electoral system.
Andrew Kloster reported:
“Inconceivable.”
“This is the first time in 14 years I’ve seen this.”
Those were some of federal district judge (Richard) Leon’s comments regarding what the Department of Justice asked for in court today, as part of an important case that could impact the integrity of the 2016 election.
The DOJ sought to not fight a lawsuit against the federal Election Assistance Commission (EAC), conceding to a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction filed by the League of Women voters and other activist groups. The EAC had decided to allow Kansas, Arizona, Georgia, and other states “to enforce state laws ensuring that only citizens” would be able to register to vote when they use the federally designed voter registration form.
Of the more than 20 lawyers representing the groups, Judge Leon said: “This is a traveling roadshow, and those must be all your fans.”
In his four-page order, Judge Leon wrote:
“Given that the registration deadlines for the Alabama and Georgia primaries and for the Kansas Republican Caucus had already passed at the time this TRO motion was filed…and that the effects of [the federal] actions on the ongoing registration process for the Kansas Democratic Caucus and plaintiffs’ rights and efforts thereto are uncertain at best, plaintiffs have not demonstrated they will suffer irreparable harm before the hearing on their Motion for a Preliminary Injunction.”
And before you ask, no, there’s no relation to the Executive Director of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, as least as far as I know…
“Ultimately, Kloster wrote, “this case appears to be on the fast-track in federal district court. A decision in this case, and a subsequent appeal to the D.C. Circuit, will bear on the ability of states to protect the integrity of their ballots in the 2016 election and in years to come.”
Of course, this isn’t the first time leftists have sought to give non-citizens the right to vote as I reported here and here. And of course, we all know what party they would vote for.
This, of course, is all part of Obama’s promise to fundamentally transform — read, destroy — America.
