Obama claims it’s easier to buy guns than vegetables or books (video)

“It is hard to reduce the easy availability of guns. As long as you can go on into some neighborhoods, and it’s easier for you to buy a firearm than it is for you to buy a book, there are neighborhoods where it’s easier for you to buy a handgun and clips than it is for you to buy a fresh vegetable.” Barack Obama
Can you buy a gun for a couple bucks a pound? No. Can you buy a gun for less than $20? No. Even on the street, you pay more for a gun than the average book or rutabaga. To say guns are more readily available than vegetables or books is ludicrous.
The wolf in sheep’s clothing.
The true facts are that even with guns, the United States would be safer than most other nations – if it weren’t for the cities where the gun laws are stringent – like Detroit, Chicago, New York City, etc. That’s not due to the easy availability of guns,” that’s due to liberals who believe in gun control. It’s the “gun free zone” mentality that creates a situation for crime…not the other way around.
Is America headed for a recession?
“Increased gun control measures would go a long way toward cutting down on America’s homicide rate…Our homicide rates are so much larger than other industrialized countries, by like a mile… Most of that is attributable to the easy, ready availability of firearms, particularly handguns.” Barack Obama
The gun control agenda
Do you see how that message switched from those black market/street guns to the gun owners of America? The U.S. ranks 111th in intentional per capita homicide rates in spite of all those “available” guns. That means, for you who may be math challenged, that 110 other countries have a higher homicide rate than the United States. So once again, Obama twisted the statistics to promote his agenda.
