Obama blames geography for Trump’s historic win — Video

Obama geographyWhile speaking to reporters in Lima, Peru, outgoing President Barack Obama blamed geography for Donald Trump’s historic win.  He made the claim in response to a question by Fox News reporter Rich Edson.

“Some of that is just the nature of our system and geography,” Obama said.  “As long as Wyoming gets the same number of senators as California there’s going to be some tilt towards Republicans when it comes to congressional races. The fact that a lot of Democratic voters are bunched up in big cities and a lot of Republican voters are spread out across geography gives them an advantage when it comes to, uh, congressional races.”

That comment can be heard at about the 3:13 mark in the video below:

So according to Obama, it’s not the fact that Americans rejected his policies — in fact, Obama claimed that a majority actually support Obamacare, his signature piece of legislation.

Is America headed for a recession?

It all has to do with geography and the fact that every state gets the same number of Senators…

Talk about denial.

One person on Twitter observed:

It’s also interesting to note that Democrats — once again — got shellacked across the country and now control only a tiny number of states.

On November 11, the New York Times reported:

The net effect of the elections Tuesday will be that Republicans will have a trifecta in 24 states, while Democrats will have just six, as of Friday.

While Democrats picked up a trifecta in one state, they lost trifectas in two others.

The losses are a harsh rebuke to President Obama’s call in October for Democrats to make gains in state legislatures when it appeared that Donald J. Trump’s campaign was stumbling.

Here’s a graphic posted by the Times:

control geographyWorse yet, instead of moderating their positions, Democrats are determined to go even further to the left.

Who knows?  Maybe by 2024, there won’t be a single state run by Democrats at the rate this is going…
