Not Satire: FEMA Updates Nuclear Explosion Info To Include Masks, Social Distancing

The “experts” in the Biden-Harris administration think that in the event of a nuclear explosion, you should continue to be very concerned about a virus. You can’t make this crap up.

With Biden’s first State of the Union scheduled for Tuesday, the “science” has suddenly changed to make masks optional in Congress. The Virus has miraculously disappeared as a threat now that the Shambling Husk of Mediocrity is set to mumble his way through a SOTU address.

Apparently, the same can’t be said in the case of nuclear war. FEMA says that you should be very concerned about preventing the spread of the China Virus while you are also concerned about surviving in a post-nuke world.

The Twitter account Libs of Tik Tok pointed out the guidance that was updated on Friday — the day after Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared to threaten the West with a nuclear attack if any government outside of Ukraine took action against his invasion.

Here are the screenshots provided by Libs of Tik Tok.

In one section about the importance of seeking shelter, the guidance suggests that you should go to the basement and stay away from outer walls. You should also “Try to maintain a distance of at least six feet between yourself and people who are not part of your household. If possible, wear a mask if you’re sheltering with people who are not a part of your household. Children under two years old, people who have trouble breathing, and those who are unable to remove masks on their own should not wear them.”

You then need to remain inside for 24 hours to avoid radiation from the fallout. But don’t forget that you need to “Continue to practice social distancing by wearing a mask and by keeping a distance of at least six feet between yourself and people who [are] not part of your household.”

FEMA advises that you begin to prepare now. On your commute, identify possible shelters but keep in mind, “Due to COVID-19, many places you may pass on the way to and from work may be closed or may not have regular operating hours.”

If an attack is imminent, FEMA reiterates that you need to find a safe place to shelter, and when you do, “try to maintain a distance of at least six feet between yourself and people who are not part of your household. If possible, wear a mask if you’re sheltering with people who are not a part of your household.”

If you have to evacuate, be aware that “public shelter locations may have changed due to COVID-19. Check with local authorities to determine which public shelters are open” so it’s best to arrange to stay with family or friends.

If you are told to evacuate by authorities, make sure that you “bring items that can help protect yourself and your family from COVID-19, such as hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol, cleaning materials, and two masks per person.”

FEMA also advises that you “Review the CDC’s guidelines for ‘Going to a Public Disaster Shelter During the COVID-19 Pandemic.’

If you do manage to survive the nuclear explosion, and you are experiencing a medical emergency, “call 9-1-1 and let the operator know if you have, or think you might have, COVID-19. If you can, put on a mask before help arrives.”

The pièce de résistance of this update, however, has got to be this gem right here:

Know that it’s normal to feel anxious or stressed. Take care of your body and talk to someone if you are feeling upset. Many people may already feel fear and anxiety about the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19)The threat of a nuclear explosion can add additional stress. Follow CDC guidance for managing stress during a traumatic event and managing stress during COVID-19.

So, you’re supposed to let 911 know that you might have a respiratory virus, but it’s not as urgent to mention if you’ve been exposed to radiation. Yep, that seems to make perfect sense in the Clown World in which we find ourselves.

Question: Are they suggesting that to Libs the threat of nuclear war is less stress-inducing than the threat of Xi’s Sneeze?

One of these things has a 99% survivability rate the other… not so much.

But the “experts” really think you should be very, very concerned about COVID-19 for the foreseeable future — even a postnuclear one.

You just can’t make up how absurd everything is in 2022.

Maybe it’s time to get back to basics.
