No, Trump Didn’t Appoint a Dog Breeder to Run COVID-19 Response
The Mainstream Media is in the habit of not just twisting Trump’s words, but changing the truth to make sure there is a negative spin on everything. After claiming Trump told people to inject disinfectant and drink bleach, now they’re saying he appointed a dog breeder to run the COVID-19 response. That’s “factually inaccurate,” to coin a phrase.
This morning, I swore in Brian Harrison as my Chief of Staff and announced the expansion of leadership at @HHSGov. Congratulations to Brian and his family: https://t.co/vx2sPvyy5q pic.twitter.com/NSLINxEkkv

Brian Harrison has served in high level positions in many administrations, from Bush to Trump. He was tapped to become the chief of staff for Alex Azar, secretary of HHS last year. He is described as a “known commodity” who is a genuine public servant in whatever role he is hired to perform.
It took Dallas News to set the record straight after Reuters reported that Trump appointed an “ex-professional dog breeder” to run the program. But of course, by then even the DNC had piled on the report and mocked President Trump and denigrated Harrison.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
“Only in the Trump administration could a dog breeder find himself leading a pandemic containment strategy. It would be laughable if not for the tens of thousands of Americans who have lost their lives and the tens of millions who are out of work.” DNC deputy war room director Daniel Wessel
Harrison is not “leading a pandemic containment strategy.” He is a staffer who organizes meetings, and other tasks as a member of the Secretary’s staff. But facts have escaped the Democrats for decades.

Reuters should be ashamed of themselves (no, they’re not) for propagating false narratives. It is apparent the mainstream media wants to deliberately attack and destroy anyone in the Trump administration. Dallas News set the record straight with their report by Todd Gilman:
“No, the Trump administration did not put a professional dog breeder from Dallas in charge of COVID-19 response.
Yes, the chief of staff at the Department of Health and Human Services briefly owned a family business raising Labradoodles. But he’s also served three administrations in high level posts at HHS, the White House and the Pentagon.
Colleagues who hired Brian Harrison and served with him in government were appalled to see him disparaged Thursday as a mere “dog breeder,” as if Joe Exotic had catapulted from tiger king to head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention…
…By all accounts of those who’ve worked with him, Harrison is a serious public servant with deep experience. And he was never in charge of pandemic containment strategy.
He was, rather, assigned a typical role for a cabinet secretary’s chief of staff, serving as aide de camp on a task force run by the boss himself — until Trump stripped that job from Azar and assigned the responsibility to Vice President Mike Pence…”
“The aide, Brian Harrison, had joined the department after running a dog-breeding business for six years. Five sources say some officials in the White House derisively called him ‘the dog breeder.'” Chris Hayes
You’d think that Reuters would know better than to propagate a false narrative, regardless of what administration they’re in. And MSNBC is known for “shading the truth.” But the headline grabbed attention, and that’s what they were looking for…at the expense of a valuable employee who appears to have been caught in the crossfire.
It’s the drip, drip of these phony “bombshells” that are sapping MS media of any shred of reliability leading into election. https://t.co/xiQu2bfdXp

Reports that a dog breeder was in charge of the COVID WH Task Force were very misleading. Brian Harrison worked in the Bush Administration and his wife worked at Pentagon under Bob Gates. https://t.co/7aNrXh6VWf

This is how #FakeNews happens.
Good for the @dallasnews for setting this straight.
