Regular readers of this site know that we have documented numerous instances of abuse by Facebook, the world’s largest social media site increasingly known as the “world’s most dangerous censor.”  How dangerous is it?  As a new book explains, it enables militant Islamic jihad through the Orwellian application of its nebulous “community standards.”

In the book, “Banned: How Facebook enables militant Islamic jihad,” yours truly, along with Adina Kutnicki, an investigative journalist based in Israel for the last eight years, compare and contrast how the site treats users, pages and groups opposed to jihad versus those who support it.

As we explain, it’s not just bans handed out to individuals, although that’s part of it — it’s often the circumstances surrounding those bans.  In some cases, users have been slapped based on false reports or posts that have been forged to appear as though they were made by the person being banned.

Pages have been torn down based on false reports which include pornography and nudity.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Articles mentioning Islam have been falsely flagged as “unsafe” and pages documenting alleged war crimes have been mysteriously scrubbed.

Users have been targeted with death threats and threats of violent rape but nothing was done.

Jihadis have used the platform to buy and sell military hardware while average users are routinely banned for even talking about selling a gun.

Worse yet, all of this censorship is sanctioned by federal law.

We’ve seen various reports trickle out now and then, but it’s all been put together for the very first time.

Not only do Adina and I lay out the problem and some of the evidence, we provide some possible solutions and give average users tips they can use to help bring Facebook back into this realm we call “reality.”

The description at Amazon.com reads:

While militant jihad is exploding throughout the Islamic world, westerners are increasingly subjected to gravely perilous circumstances. Americans, Israelis, and Europeans are in their direct crosshairs.

Jihadists congregate on social media, “friend” like-minded Islamists, and plot global jihad. With over 1.6 billion users worldwide, Facebook is the world’s largest social media site. It has become the de facto Internet since nearly every site connects to it. With that size comes great power–the power to lift up and the power to destroy. CEO Mark Zuckerberg promised to stifle negative stories of “migrants” and assured Muslims he would make his site a welcoming place for them. Banned explains how social media in general and Facebook in particular seems to operate with a double standard that ultimately enables militant Islamic jihad.

Politicians talk about companies being too big to fail, but is Facebook so big that it can freely operate as a government unto itself?

The book, endorsed by Pamela Geller, president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, and Prof. Paul Eidelberg, is priced at $14.99 can be ordered on Amazon.com and the WND Superstore.

More and more, Americans are finding themselves living in an age of censorship and political correctness.  We live in a dream world if we think our right to freely express ourselves will forever exist simply because the Constitution says so.  Liberals are increasingly infringing on our individual rights.  If we refuse to stand now, we and our children will have no right to dissent on any issue — and it will happen sooner than we think.
