Who Needs FEMA When We Already Have The Louisiana Cajun Navy?

So who really needs FEMA or the Red Cross for that matter? Both are top-heavy bloated organizations that really need to look at themselves and justify their existence in the first place. FEMA was a totally ineffective force in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, so what makes anyone think they’ll do any better with the after effects of Hurricane Harvey?

FEMA waited four days to get their act together and even begin to plan their response, while hundreds of thousands of citizens from Texas and Louisiana had to rely on a volunteer citizens’ force whose organizational skills and implementation procedures are unparalleled by any other organization, whether governmental or otherwise. Both FEMA and the American Red Cross have a long history of inefficiency.

In the beginning, Clara Barton founded the American Red Cross and operated it from the helm until an opportunistic greed monger took control away from her and actually fired her from the organization. It has been all downhill from there for the organization. They’re not interested in helping anyone unless it can be done at a profit. They take non-profit donations and and use over 70% to pay administrators and the actual funds used are a pittance of the amount of donations they receive from the American public.

Since the early days of our nation, when disaster strikes, it is usually met by an unpaid all-volunteer force.  From the time of the Johnstown flood on May 31, 1889. It has been no different so far in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Thank God for the Louisiana Cajun Navy!

Unlike these top-heavy organizations, the Louisiana Cajun Navy isn’t out to turn a profit. They would be happy to just break even.

President Trump would do well to tell FEMA to step back and let the big boys handle it, and use the funds that would otherwise be wasted by a top-heavy federal bureaucracy and give it to the well-organized Louisiana Cajun Navy.  Or at the very least, direct them to work closer with volunteers in the area.

Only yesterday, one of my co-workers told me he’d like to take an extended leave of absence to go to work for FEMA. FEMA has been recruiting people to aid in the hurricane relief effort, and promising them $2,000.00 a week plus expenses to work in their relief efforts. Forgive my redundancy, but that money would be better spent if given to the Cajun Navy.

Yes, black lives matter. So do white lives and Cajun lives. You won’t see any BLM or ANTIFA thugs out helping these people.

At this point in time, the only credible agencies or organizations I can recommend who will make sure most of your donations are used to help victims of the hurricane and flooding are listed below:

This shall not prevail as long as I can do something about it.
