New York Mayor Bill de Blasio suggested on Saturday morning that it’s time for nationalization of crucial industries that make medical supplies. Governor Cuomo has a state created hand sanitizer. Has New York gone full commie? Are we headed that direction around the country?
Mayor de Blasio stated, according to Breitbart,
“This is a war-like situation. We’re in a wartime scenario with a Mar-a-Lago attitude being used by the federal government, right? It’s so laid back, and I don’t understand it. And by the way, testing, how about ventilators? Where is the federal government making sure that our hospitals have the ventilators we’re going to need? Where is the federal government when it comes to surgical masks, getting them distributed where they need? This is a case for a nationalization, literally a nationalization of crucial factories and industries that could produce the medical supplies to prepare this country for what we need. Hand sanitizer, people are going crazy, I don’t blame them, trying to get hand sanitizer.”
Sounds pretty shrill and panicky to me. Maybe that “laid back” part is about calming the fears of the populace – de Blasio would rather go full on Communist to fix what he sees as a problem. The Federal government has mobilized and partnered with companies across the nation to provide all the things that are needed for the coronavirus issue.
According to the Daily Caller, New York Governor Cuomo said at a press conference that the state of New York was making its own hand sanitizer, and warned online retailers about price-gouging.

The governor stated that the ‘state hand sanitizer’ will initially go to New Rochelle, the largest outbreak area. What industries did he “commandeer” to get his foo-foo laden “hand sanitizer” going?
“We’ll be providing this to governmental agencies, schools, the MTA, prisons, etc., because you can’t get it on the market, and when you get it it’s very, very expensive.” Gov Cuomo
Fear Factor
People are going crazy for toilet paper, hand sanitizer, hand soap, Clorox wipes, and anything else. Even rubbing alcohol. They care nothing about those who might really need them, they’re just hoarding like idiots. But does that mean we should go communist over it? No, but some of the ideas floating around out there come pretty close. Fear does crazy things to people.
“Hand sanitizer” is only one aspect of things that are needed. If you “nationalize” any business, it becomes stuck, unable to function properly. Maybe New York leaders should have a little faith in America, what say you?
