Nancy Sinatra calls for execution of ‘murderous’ NRA members by firing squad

In a tweet issued early Tuesday morning, singer Nancy Sinatra called for members of the National Rifle Association (NRA) to be executed by firing squad. Naturally, her tweet didn’t sit too well with many.

“The murderous members of the NRA should face a firing squad,” she wrote.

Interesting enough, her tweet disappeared at the time we first published this post, but The Hill captured it for posterity:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

And her now-deleted tweet can also be seen here.

According to Twitchy, she was responding to this tweet by the far-left Daily Kos:

She later claimed that she didn’t really mean every NRA member, just those deemed to be “murderous.”

The problem, of course, is that liberals, by and large, view every NRA member and every law-abiding American with a firearm as a murdering terrorist.

Reaction was swift and angry:

There’s been a lot of that lately, it seems.

Twitchy observed:

Maybe celebrities should stop calling for the death of gun owners when making their argument for why gun owners should give up their guns…

That’s a good idea in general…

One person evoked a song Sinatra made famous back in the day while throwing in a reference to George Orwell’s classic Nineteen Eighty-Four:

Another critic noted:

For what it’s worth, Sinatra wouldn’t be the first to do so, as we noted here back in 2014.

The Washington Free Beacon observed:

In 2013, the NRA estimated it had five million members. When another Twitter user asked Sinatra to explain why she thought every NRA member should be killed, Sinatra did not challenge the interpretation of her remarks.

Apparently Sinatra, like so many anti-gun liberals, think the NRA is capable of writing, passing and amending legislation.  Of course, they don’t have that power, but facts apparently don’t mean much.

Even Donald Trump, Jr., criticized Sinatra:

According to The Hill, her tweet “went largely unnoticed until it was retweeted by Trump Jr. and several media members late Wednesday into Thursday.”

Dana Loesch said she still loves Frank Sinatra’s music despite the call to kill millions of innocent Americans.

The Daily Wire said it “reached out to a spokesperson for Sinatra who did not immediately reply to a request for comment.”

Wonder why?

One person asked:

Good question.  In February 2011, I first said that liberalism, at its core, is an ideology of rage and hate.  Sadly, liberals like Sinatra prove that assertion correct on just about any given day.
