MSNBC’s Joy Reid doubles down, libels pro-Trump woman on Facebook as a bigot

As we reported earlier, MSNBC propagandist Joy Reid joined in the effort to foment violence against Roslyn La Liberte, a pro-Trump business woman who engaged in a conversation about sanctuary cities with 14-year-old Joseph Luevano at a Simi Valley city council meeting.  It turns out, however, that the situation is even worse than we initially reported.

On Sunday, the Gateway Pundit’s Kristinn Taylor said Reid libeled the woman on Instagram and Facebook, falsely attributing statements to La Liberte she never made.

We took a look and sure enough, Reid falsely claimed La Liberte called Luevano a “dirty Mexican.”

“He showed up to a rally to defend immigrants. … She showed up too, in her MAGA hat, and screamed, ‘You are going to be the first deported’ … ‘dirty Mexican!'” she claimed.  “He is 14 years old. She is an adult. Make the picture black and white and it could be the 1950s and the desegregation of a school. Hate is real, y’all. It hasn’t even really gone away.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

There’s only one problem with this post.  La Liberte never made that statement.

Fox 11 reported:

During a recess in the meeting the teenager says he started a conversation with the woman to try and understand her feelings, “but, I felt like she was still trying to keep it civil which I appreciate .”

Both he and his mom say there were rude people saying ugly things like the teen would be the first to be deported. For the record, he was born and raised in this part of Southern California and he didn’t like that. But, he says, what you see in the photo isn’t a confrontation but a conversation.

La Liberte says, I never said anything disparaging. I never did.”

La Liberte and her husband tell us people have been calling their phone to harass her. She says the picture couple with the spread of social media has been incredibly damaging. First, she says, “I look like a monster. If I saw that i would be upset.” She says one of her clients has already dumped her because of the photo.

The teen says, I heard some people were boycotting this woman’s business. I don’t really want that… because she was being civil.”

As a result, La Liberte has been threatened and her business has suffered.

Reid’s post, which was issued three hours after the Fox 11 report, has been shared over 87,000 times and garnered over 12,000 comments — mostly negative.

Taylor noted:

As Joy Reid says, “Hate is real, ya’ll”

And it resides in her heart.

It’s not known if La Liberte plans to take legal action against Reid, but in our opinion, she should.

Keep in mind this is the same Joy Reid who suggested Rep. Steve Scalise deserved to get shot because of his conservative voting record.  Does she now want to see La Liberte shot as well?  It sure seems that way.
