Milwaukee Airbnb and the Drunk Teen: Right House or Wrong House?

What happens when a drunk teen stumbles into the only Airbnb full of police officers in the entire city of Milwaukee? A drunken 19 year old who had no idea where he was, entered a Milwaukee Airbnb rental that happened to be occupied by three Montana Sheriff’s Deputies who were in town for an emergency vehicle training. You could ask if that was the wrong house, or the right house. But the teen woke up in handcuffs.

A Milwaukee Airbnb

About 2:30 in the morning, I heard some crashing around upstairs, but I thought it was this guy going to the bathroom. It wasn’t me, the deputies said on TikTok.

The Montana deputies are in Milwaukee for emergency vehicle training, but they never expected a crime to happen in their rental home.

When they found the back door open, the deputies realized there was an intruder, and when they went upstairs, they found the 19-year-old sound asleep.

“Matt finds this dude laying in a bed in our house. Dude broke into the house in the middle of the night. This silly guy found the one Airbnb in all of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, loaded with cops. He woke up in handcuffs,” the deputies said on TikTok.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Deputies said it was actually fortunate that he entered a Milwaukee Airbnb full of cops.

“What if that dude stumbled into a bed with a kid, or my wife. I mean, it could have been a different morning, right? So wrong place, wrong time, lucky place, lucky time, that there’s dudes that actually know how to handle that.

Deputy Charles Pesola

When asked by the WISN reporter why they did a TikTok video, one of the deputies said it’s because they want to show the other side of the badge – the real people – so they make everything into a TikTok video.

A statement by the teen in this humorous event: the kid is only 19 years old and said that he has “woken up in random places” before. He was not cited or arrested for this incident because he “just stumbled into the wrong place.”

He made a mistake. It’s OK. We’re gonna get over it, and at the end of the day, we can smile about it.

Deputy Matt Vander Ark

A little less “stumbling” and a little more staying at least mostly sober would be a good thing for the 19 year old, don’t you think? He might not be so fortunate next time.
