Gotion High-Tech, LTD, is a company that recently acquired land in Michigan. It is connected to the Chinese Communist Party even within its bylaws, which state that the company shall comply with CCP laws. Democrats in the Michigan legislature approved a $175M appropriation for it to build a battery plant in the state. Residents aren’t happy about it.
UPDATE: According to JustTheNews, the funding of this project has been paused due to backlash. An investigation into the plan has been launched.
“The Party Committee of the Company shall perform its duties in accordance with the Constitution of the Communist Party of China and other Party regulations.” Gotion High-Tech LTD bylaws (Chapter 1, page 1)
Uh-oh. Either the Democrats in the Michigan legislature didn’t bother to check out their bylaws, or they simply don’t care. It passed with a vote of 10-9. Even three Democrats voted against it, yet it still passed.
Gotion High-Tech LTD acquired approximately 700 acres of Michigan ground in order to purportedly build a battery factory for electric vehicles.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
“This company pledges allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party and should be determined as a threat to our national security.” Resident Shirley Schaefer.
She is absolutely correct. But with so many of our current lawmakers “in bed” with Chinese spies and communist reps, it is exceedingly difficult to pull that plug out of the dirty dishwater in Washington DC, let alone Lansing, Michigan.
Case in point
A recent Newsmax article explained that several Democrats were recently photographed with two Chinese nationals arrested by the Federal government for operating a foreign police facility in New York.
After their arrest, photos began surfacing showing that Jianwang had been photographed meeting with high-profile Democrats at fancy dinners and campaign events. This included meeting with New York Democrat Rep. Grace Meng, as well as NYC Mayor Eric Adams and Senator Chuck Schumer in 2022 and 2023. During the meeting with Schumer, Jianwang was joined by Wu Xiaoming, a member of the Chinese consulate.
While The CCP’s biggest critic Miles Guo remains behind bars without having even been offered bail, both alleged CCP spies were quickly granted bail and released from custody. Jianwang posted bond of $250,000, while Jinping posted bond of $400,000. Both bonds have three co-signers, the names and signatures of which are redacted. NewsmaxÂ
The lure of money
The planned battery plant for electric vehicles is expected to invest $2.4 Billion and provide 2,350 jobs. Governor Gretchen Whitmer is thrilled to welcome the Gotion High-Tech project, never mind concerns over the CCP. The plant is to be located near Big Rapids in Northern Michigan. TechNode: the project will be tax-free for 30 years. This is not the only battery project by foreign companies – there are several.

Translation? Lots of money and the idea to keep Michigan at the forefront of the automobile industry.
In many cases, these Chinese factories are located near military bases, and have been stopped after outcry from residents and the US. It has sparked a controversy within the government on whether China should be allowed to acquire US land. Though there do not appear to be any major National Security US military bases near Big Rapids, it still makes us wonder what the CCP will actually be doing. They are masters of lies and misdirection.
So there you have it: China has acquired hundreds of acres of Michigan land and no one is as upset as the residents of the state. Democrat legislators want what they want, and they believe it is good for their state. But is it?
