On Wednesday, wealthy filmmaker Michael Moore issued a tweet referring to Independence Day as “Resistance Day,” and encouraged his fellow leftists to “finish” a revolt he believes is still being fought after 242 years.
“Happy Resistance Day! The revolt continues, some 242 years later. C’mon, people! Let’s finish this!” he tweeted.

I’m confused…what revolt? If he really believed in his cause, he would willingly give up half of his earnings to the govt from his socialist propaganda films. That’s what he wants right? I used to like his docs when I was young n didn’t understand social/economic behavior ?

If there’s one thing we Americans are great at, it’s that we know how to depose a king (we’re also experts at overthrowing democratically-elected governments, but you already knew that).
This time we must remove our tyrant with the force of nonviolence!

You read that right — he seems to be actually pushing for a coup to remove Trump from office and overthrow the government.
Naturally, Moore’s insane followers loved it.
“If our founding fathers were alive right now they would throw this administration in jail and put YOU IN CHARGE of the country from the heart and soul you have for all of us. Thank you for everything you do,” one person said.
“I stopped celebrating July 4th since pus bag was elected, but Happy Resistance day?? I love that now the date has a name for me anyway,” another person said.
A third person added: “If this continues and we cannot remove him by votes, I am afraid that we may have military coup. Not all generals think trump (sic) is on the right path. One way or another, he will be gone, vote democrats please.”
This, by the way, is the modern left…
