Why did media initially ignore illegal alien status of man who killed Indianapolis Colts player?

On Monday, Dave Workman said that a Fox News affiliate in Indianapolis reported that the suspected drunk driver who allegedly killed Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson and another man early Sunday is in the country illegally, and had been deported twice before.  But, a post at BB4SP said, “it wasn’t until conservative media started reported (sic) on the illegal status of the Guatemalan man who killed the Indianapolis Colts player and his Uber driver that the media revealed his status.”

What?

According to BB4SP:

The Indy Star reported on the murders of 26-year-old Edwin Jackson, an Indianapolis Colts football player and Jeffrey Monroe, Jackson’s 54-year old Uber driver, by a Guatemalan man. What the Indianapolis Star failed to report, however, was that the “citizen of Guatemala” was 37-year-old Manuel Orrego-Savala, a twice-deported ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT WITH A HISTORY OF DRUNK DRIVING.

Here is the Indy Star’s original story: Indianapolis Colts player Edwin Jackson and an Uber driver were both killed early Sunday after being struck by a suspected drunken driver along Interstate 70.

According to the Indiana State Police, the crash happened shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday along the westbound lanes of I-70, just west of Holt Road.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The post goes on to say:

The Indy Star has since “updated” their story to include the actual truth about the ILLEGAL ALIEN who had no business being in our country who took the lives of two innocent American citizens.

There’s a reason why so many liberals want conservative media silenced,” BB4SP said. “This is the perfect example…”
