Massachusetts Man Arrested for Soliciting to Murder ICE Agents

Brandon Ziobrowski, 33, of Cambridge, Massachusetts was arrested on Thursday for soliciting to murder ICE agents, according to Fox and other outlets. He tweeted a request for pledges of money to pay a $500 murder-for-hire scheme to kill an ICE agent. He has a history of posting anti-police messages, and also repeatedy said he wanted to “slit John McCain’s throat.” His Twitter account was deleted at the request of law enforcement.

“I am broke but I will scrounge and literally give $500 to anyone who kills an ice agent. @me seriously who else can pledge get in on this let’s make this work.” Ziobrowski tweeted using the Twitter handle @Vine_II. He had 448 followers at the time of the tweet.
Blue Lives Matter reported Ziobrowski also tweeted that “Guns should only be legal for shooting the police like the second amendment intended.”

Authorities adamantly stated that there is a difference between political leanings and putting people in fear of their lives.
US Attorney Andrew Lelling said, “I can promise you that during my tenure this office will aggressively prosecute anyone who incites violence against law enforcement officers.”

Ziobrowski appeared in court on Thursday, and was released on a $50,000 bond. He is charged with one count of use of interstate and foreign commerce to transmit a threat and injure another person. His next court appearance is August 15. He was ordered to give up his passport, and faces a possible sentence of 5 years in prison. NECN reported that he appeared to be wearing a monitoring device on his ankle.
