Marjorie Taylor Greene Files Articles Of Impeachment Against Merrick Garland After Mar-a-Lago Raid (Video)

On Friday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., announced that she filed articles of impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland in response to the FBI’s invasion of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.

Greene’s resolution states that Garland’s “personal approval to seek a search warrant for the raid on the home of the 45^th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, constitutes a blatant attempt to persecute a political opponent.”

She also accused Garland of using the FBI as a “Federal police force to punish or intimidate anyone who questions or opposes the current regime.”

Greene went on to state that Garland will continue to remain a threat to the justice system of America if he is allowed to remain in office.

“What they’ve been doing to President Trump is political persecution,” Greene said in a video posted to Twitter. “Merrick Garland has abused his position of power as the attorney general to politically persecute Joe Biden’s enemies. And the whole purpose of this is to prevent [former] President Trump from ever being able to hold office. I’m introducing articles of impeachment on Merrick Garland because we cannot tolerate this in America, where our great institutions are wielded and abused in such a way to impeach people’s political enemies.”

What we’d like to know is:  Where are the rest of the Republicans?

Given the House is currently under the iron fist of Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats, it’s unlikely this resolution will go anywhere.  Still, it’s nice to see someone standing up for a change.
