I’m amazed that Marco Rubio has so many supporters considering how far left many of his policies are, such as his stand for open borders and how he sabotaged an effort to do away with sanctuary cities in Florida.
The official unofficial spokesperson for Black Lies Matters, DeRay McKesson, is anxious to meet with Marco Rubio, after Rubio made very favorable remarks towards the group whose motto is, “Pigs in a blanket! Fry ‘em like bacon!”:
This is a legitimate issue… It is a fact that in the African-American community around this country there has been, for a number of years now, a growing resentment toward the way law enforcement and the criminal justice system interacts with the community… I have one friend in particular who’s been stopped in the last 18 months eight to nine different times. Never got a ticket for being stopped — just stopped. If that happened to me, after eight or nine times, I’d be wondering what’s going on here. I’d be upset about it. So would anybody else.
McKesson and Black Lies Matter (BLM) have shunned Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders for not being liberal enough, now want to meet with Rubio, who they believe offers them more support than Clinton and Sanders. Rubio is trying to expand his base. He already has the illegals behind him and now he’s looking to add the violence against cops vote. What’s next? The Neo Nazis? Occupy Wall Street? It comes as no surprise to Florida police. As a Florida state legislator, Rubio was very anti-police.
When he was Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, he allowed legislation to die that would have forced Miami to cease being a sanctuary city. Arturo Vargas, an activist and advocate for illegal aliens as well as the executive director for National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials sang Rubio’s praises loudly:
Trending: Cartoon of the Day: The Squad
“[Rubio] as speaker, kept many of those from coming up to a vote… We were very proud of his work as speaker of the House.”
Law enforcement doesn’t agree with that assessment. Referring to the Gang of Eight Immigration bill, the top representative of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers said that the bill was deceptive and that not only would it not secure the border but would tie the hands of all ICE officers, making it nearly impossible to turn illegals back at the border or to arrest them. Illegals could flow into the United States unchecked.
As far as his BLM comments, they weren’t an accident. He has spoken nearly the same words before:
We can’t ignore as a reality that in many communities in this country, the relationships between minority communities and the police and law enforcement are terrible… We can’t ignore that this country does have a legacy of racial discrimination… Listen, 60 years ago– 50 years ago, it was legal to discriminate against people because of the color of their skin. This doesn’t just go away over night. You can change laws, but the impact of that remains. This is a legitimate issue. We need to confront it as a nation.
Rubio believes that the government must get involved just like other liberals such as Obama, Clinton, Pelosi and Reid. Some politicians seem to be willing to bend over backward for BLM, but Rubio appears ready to bend over forward for them. Fortunately, Rubio’s policies will ensure he will never get into the White House unless he joins a tour group.
