Five people are dead, 8 others injured, including two police officers. Two of those injured are in critical condition, one of whom is an officer. Officers encountered the shooter within three minutes of the report of an active shooter and exchanged gunfire with him upon their arrival. The suspect is also deceased. He was reportedly a former employee of the bank.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear expressed his sympathies with the families of those impacted.
During an 11 a.m. press conference in Louisville, Beshear said he was personal friends with two of the victims who died and one of those injured.
“This is awful,” he said. “My [Attorney General] campaign was out of that building. I know virtually everyone in it. That was my bank.” WHAS11
The suspect was identified as Connor Sturgeon, 25, who reportedly live-streamed the incident on Instagram. He was employed at Old National Bank since 2018 as an intern, joining full time in June of 2021. (The Post Millennial). According to reports, he said he was suicidal and planned to “shoot up the bank.”
It is an unfortunate fact that whenever there is a high-profile shooting, liberals target the gun itself. They fail to understand the mindset of the shooters- in this case, a man who told a friend that he was “suicidal.” What drove him to believe that, and why he acted out his thoughts are something for psychologists to determine. Was it workplace violence? Was it a delusion on the part of the shooter? As more information is revealed, we suspect that there is a serious mental issue involved.
