“How crazy are liberals in the era of Donald Trump?” That question just became slightly more difficult to answer.
The president already appointed one new justice to the Supreme Court in the person of Neil Gorsuch, and he currently has another nominee in the works in the person of Bret Kavanaugh.
The confirmation of Kavanaugh will be sufficient to enable Roe v. Wade to be overturned should a case challenging the law come before the high court. This is the reality whether Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who is 85, retires or not. Yet some people appear to be willing to lay down their lives to keep the liberal octogenarian alive and (reasonably) well.

Some commenters tried appealing to the Trump haters using reason:
This is quite silly. Nature takes it’s course with our bodies and at 85 I am sure she is experiencing forgetfulness. You can try to hide it but it is there. In that job you need all your faculties since it requires deep thought and consideration of our laws.

Ginsburg, herself no Trump fan, has expressed a desire to retain her seat as long as she is able to serve, though whether she can survive another five years as per her wishes is open to speculation. She has already fallen asleep on national TV during two State of the Union addresses, both during Barack Obama’s tenure. She wrote off the second episode, in 2015, claiming she was not “100% sober.”
