Left Loses Mind Over Buffalo Shooting, Falsely Claims Attacker Is ‘Registered Republican’

Perhaps it’s the shock of yet another mass shooting carried out by a criminal in America.

But leftists this week lost their minds over the death and destruction allegedly left behind by a suspect identified as Payton Gendron, in that they called him a “mainstream Republican.”

That claim was from the leftists at Rolling Stone, who promptly were rebuked by the facts.

The Washington Examiner noted the suspect himself had called himself the “authoritarian left.”

The issue is that leftists had delivered their verdict on the case – and condemned conservatives and Republicans – before the facts emerged.

Even now, days after the attack that left 10 dead, much is simply not yet known, which didn’t prevent a group calling itself American Values Coalition from issuing a statement that the shooter’s beliefs were the same as that “promoted by many right-wing voices today.”

The group charged that, because the gunman targeted mostly blacks, he was part of the scheme by “conservatives and Republicans” to claim “the only chance conservatives and Republicans have of winning future elections is to keep the proportion of white voters high.”

The group claimed that concept of “racial identity politics” now actually is in the “veins of mainstream thought on the right.”

“It’s in radio shows, cable TV programs, podcasts, social networks, newsletters, Republican messaging, and churches. Examples can be found with Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY), Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, and Fox News personality Tucker Carlson, host of the most popular cable news program in the country,” the group charged.

The Examiner, however, pointed out that Rolling Stone was facing backlash for its wild claim the shooter was a “mainstream Republican,” and the evidence that is being assembled suggests he was anything but a Republican.

One commenter said the magazine was continuing “its utter degeneration into the appalling.”

The report explained another commenter said, “Actually, the shooter categorized himself as ‘authoritarian left’ who was once a communist now turned green ethno-nationalist fascist socialist. Just proves white supremacy isn’t only on the right, especially with these younger generations. Also proves Rolling Stone is a joke.”

Investigators say the 18-year-old suspect was arraigned on murder charges for the attack, and confirmed the racial component of the crime by the white suspect who shot up a Tops Friendly markets store in Buffalo.

At the RedState site, it explained the “manifesto” believed to be the work of Gendron actually “included an anti-Semitic meme attacking Fox News and its owner Rupert Murdoch.”

“The meme — which also attacked CNN and the New York Times — alleged that Murdoch, who also owns The Post, has Jewish ancestry, and featured the headshots of Jewish employees of all three media companies,” the report said. “Through his ‘research,’ the self-described white supremacist and anti-Semite came to see low white birth rates around the world as a ‘crisis’ that ‘will ultimately result in the complete racial and cultural replacement of the European people,’ he wrote.”

Actually, the Statesman reported that the suspect had been investigated after threatening his hometown school last year.

“A law enforcement official, who was not authorized to comment publicly, said Sunday that Gendron had threatened an attack at Susquehanna Valley High School. The threat was reviewed by state authorities last year and resulted in a referral for a mental health evaluation,” the report said.

“Gendron attended SUNY Broome Community College in Dickinson for the Fall 2021 semester, but the school said Sunday he was not enrolled past March 22,” the report explained.

Bill Clinton’s press secretary Joe Lockhart withheld no punches in condemning conservatives for a crime they didn’t commit.

ABC reported that Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., who has been at odds with her party over her antagonism toward President Trump, said House GOP leaders “enabled white nationalism.”

“The House GOP leadership has enabled white nationalism, white supremacy, and anti-semitism,” she wrote in a tweet. “History has taught us that what begins with words ends in far worse. @GOP leaders must renounce and reject these views and those who hold them.”

Erie County Sheriff John Garcia said the attack was a “straight-up” racially motivated hate crime. The suspect has pleaded not guilty to murder and was being held without bail.

CNN reported authorities revealed statements from the suspect after his arrest “were clear and filled with hate toward the black community. The alleged shooter made it known he was targeting the black community during the statements, according to the official.”
