Laura Ingraham shreds liberal ‘bullies’ who seek to silence conservatives — Video

On Monday, Laura Ingraham returned to her Fox News program and shredded left-wing bullies like David Hogg, the foul-mouthed teen activist dubbed the “king of the snowflakes” and his allies at the George Soros-funded Media Matters for seeking to silence conservatives who dare to speak out.

According to the Daily Wire:

The Left’s concerted efforts to curb free speech, she suggested, trace back to liberal educators in the ’80s “desperate to turn young minds away from Reaganism and the America he represented” by portraying constitutional conservatism as “inherently racist and sexist” because the founders were “privileged white men.” Using many of the tactics now being employed once again on so many college campuses, including “even physically threaten[ing]” opponents, the campus Left attempted to squash free speech. “Their ultimate goal was to bully them into silence,” said Ingraham. “It failed.”

While such tactics ultimately failed to push back Reaganism, she said, the indoctrination has left a troubling legacy among younger generations, many of whom now embrace ideas that fly in the face of free speech — ideas wrapped in new terms like “microaggressions,” “safe spaces,” and “white privilege.”

“Today, left-wing activists use these terms as bludgeons to intimidate those who disagree with them from entering the dialog at all,” she said. “So, for all their talk of inclusion, the Left doesn’t invite more voices to enter the public discussion. Instead, they drive out any dissenting voice and police the dogma of their own creation.”

She also cited a Brookings Institute survey which indicated that a majority of college students now think that shouting down a speaker with whom they disagree is a valid form of protest.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

One of the many tools used by “left-wing retaliatory hit squads” are boycotts, she said.

Ingraham was targeted by advertiser boycotts after she dared mention Hogg’s rejection from multiple colleges.  This triggered the teen tyrant who demanded companies drop their advertising.  Some, like Hulu, Rachael Ray’s Nutrish and others, dutifully obeyed, sparking calls for counter boycotts.

Ingraham apologized, but Hogg refused to accept her apology and demanded she denounce Fox News.

“Their efforts are Stalinist,” she added. “We will never relent, and we will never give in.”
