LA Health Inspector Demands Bravery Brewing Close Just Prior to Super Bowl. She Was Wrong.

Heavy handed health inspectors in California have wreaked havoc across the state. Small Businesses have been decimated from Governor Gavin Newsom’s draconian lockdowns. But just prior to the Super Bowl, one of the biggest sales days of the year for the alcohol industry, one LA Health inspector demanded that Bravery Brewing close down and then danced her way toward the door. Bad optics.

Bravery Brewing: helper of veterans

In the 45 second video, she is seen taking off gloves, then tapping her foot, then dancing for just a couple of seconds. Then she walked toward the door and left. No one knows why she decided to dance. Maybe she was just “stretching?” She may not have realized there were cameras in the business, but the optics were awful.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

To top it off, she was blatantly wrong. She told the business that they had to shut down because they “didn’t have a food truck.” Huh? Bravery Brewing has a spot where people can orderdraft beer to take out – which was perfectly legal to do.

Bart Avery, one of the owners of Bravery Brewery in Lancaster, Calif., said the inspector visited the brewery at about 11 a.m. on Super Bowl Sunday. She told one of his employees that the brewery was in violation of county guidelines because there was no food truck, and it had to close, he said.

Avery said the inspector turned out to be incorrect and the establishment had every right to be open. The brewery was only pouring draft beer to go, so– despite her claim– they did not need a food truck to operate. She eventually admitted that there was some kind of misunderstanding and business there could resume. One of the inspector’s bosses also called to apologize for the confusion the next day, he said.

Governor Newsom is the subject of a recall effort in California due to his handling (or lack thereof) of the COVID pandemic. Backers of the recall effort have raised the required number of signatures to place the recall on the ballot, but are continuing to get more signatures in case of some being considered invalid. They have until March to do so.

The LA County Health Inspector is only one situation of hundreds across the state over the Covid pandemic. Power trips are always detrimental to people.
