Katy Perry’s ‘solution’ to terrorism: ‘Unite and love on each other, and, like, no barriers, no borders’

While appearing on the Elvis Duran And The Morning Show, noted terrorism expert Katy Perry offered her solution to terrorism.  According to Perry, the solution is for people to respond with love, “coming together,” with no borders, and that people should simply “co-exist.”

“I think that the greatest thing we can do is just unite and love on each other, and, like, no barriers, no borders. Like, we all need to just coexist,” she said.

Here’s, like, audio of her, like, comments, y’know:

“Sorry, Katy, but, like, that’s not how this works. That’s, like, not how any of this works,” Twitchy, like, said.

Naturally, her, like, comments, didn’t, like, impress anyone with any, like, knowledge of the, like, situation:

It doesn’t just hurt — it burns — big time.

More stupidity from liberals on Orlando. Now they want to ban white Americans from America.OK, I’ll lay off the “like, y’know,” like.  You get my drift.

Sadly, many seemed to feel her pain and naturally sided with what she said:

It’s not “hate,” it’s realizing how insipid and stupid this is.

A post at Townhall notes:

Not to pile on a pop star who probably means well, but this is absolutely idiotic. It’s impossible to co-exist with people who want to kill you, and ISIS wants to kill Westerners. This is a rather basic fact. Suicide bombings aren’t just things that happen randomly. The people of Manchester were doing just fine before someone following a twisted ideology took it upon himself to detonate a nail bomb in a crowd of concertgoers.

Judging from the responses of most people in Manchester–the people who have opened their homes, the acts of kindness given to the people at the concert, etc.–there’s no shortage of love in the city, and Mancunians seem to be excellent people. That doesn’t change the fact someone decided it was an admirable life choice to blow himself up next to an 8-year-old last night. No amount of “co-existence” is going to fix that, and why in the world would someone take a terrorist attack to push for “open borders”? Just stop, Katy.

(Also, it’s fairly hypocritical for someone in a a longstanding feud with Taylor Swift to get all preachy about love and coexistence and fanbases coming together, but that’s another issue for another day.)

But there’s even more hypocrisy as Jim Hoft notes at the Gateway Pundit:  “Katy Perry lives in a $18 million Beverly Crest gated mansion.”

“Maybe she should remove her massive front gate before she starts blabbing about open borders,” Hoft added.

Good point.  And while we’re at it, how many refugees has she taken into her palatial home?  Surely she has room for one or two, right?

And as for “no borders,” many of these European nations essentially have no borders now.  How has that worked out so far?

As a final note, the 22 people killed in Manchester could not be reached for comment…
