Kamala Harris Campaign Points Finger at Russian Propaganda Instead of Candidate’s Shortcomings

So do you think this Russia thing is completely out of control? Now NBC claims that Russia is propping up Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), and Kamala Harris Campaign press secretary Ian Sams seized the moment to claim that Tulsi Gabbard has the eye of the “Russian Propaganda Machine.”

Reporters writing their stories with eyes on the modern-day assignment desk of Twitter, read this:

The heated exchange between Kamala Harris and Tulsi Gabbard in the last debate was rife with accusations. Gabbard has been under fire for meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and advocating for “peace” even though she served in the Hawaiian National Guard in Iraq.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Yes

“I think that this coming from someone who has been an apologist for an individual, Assad, who has murdered the people of his country like cockroaches, she who has embraced and been an apologist for him in a way that she refuses to call him a war criminal, I can only take what she says and her opinion so seriously. And so, you know, I’m prepared to move on.” Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris has been using her “record” as a prosecutor to push along her candidacy. She also claims she’s just a poor folk like everyone else. Not true, but hey who’s counting?

“Senator Harris says she’s proud of her record as a prosecutor, and that she’ll be a prosecutor president, but I’m deeply concerned about this record. There are too many examples to cite, but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana… She blocked evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row until the courts forced her to do so. She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California and she fought to keep the cash-bail system in place. That impacts people in the worst kind of way.” Tulsi Gabbard

So Ian Sams, Kamala Harris’ Campaign Press Secretary wants to play up how Russian news media reports Gabbard’s campaign. For their part, Russian news outlets called the whole idea of “support” for Tulsi Gabbard “ridiculous.” One paragraph in the NBC story is why the whole idea is stupid:

“The language used to laud Gabbard is reminiscent of Russian media promotion of Jill Stein, the U.S. Green Party candidate for president in 2012 and 2016. Stein received favorable coverage from the same outlets and also benefited from Russian troll accounts.” NBC

And we all know how well THAT worked out, don’t we? Keep blaming Russia for your own candidate’s stupidity. That’ll help.
