Kamala Harris told Florida yesterday that help for Hurricane Ian should be given by race and gender. Which was wrong, but she said it anyway. It likely panicked victims of the deadly hurricane to think that only people who are minorities would get help, and white folks would be left out. Good lack of thinking, Kamala.
The Twitterverse responded immediately and angrily:
You can’t make this up.
Kamala Harris said the administration will be giving hurricane resources “based on equity” by directing funds to “communities of color.”
I guess everyone else is just screwed. 🤦🏻♂️ pic.twitter.com/75y4JfoYD7

Agreed. Really disgraceful to see her priorities when folks have lost their homes, and some even their lives.
Thank you, Elon!

Which Candidate Do You Support in the Republican Primaries?
Christina Pushaw, Gov DeSantis’ Rapid Response Director then responded,
This is false. @VP ‘s rhetoric is causing undue panic and must be clarified. FEMA Individual Assistance is already available to all Floridians impacted by Hurricane Ian, regardless of race or background. If you need assistance visit disasterassistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362…The areas impacted in SWFL are not particularly minority areas. They are getting help based on need not based on race.
Sorry whites affected by Hurricane Ian. Kamala Harris explains why white families will be getting the shaft when it comes to federal funds, which are going to be allocated to “communities of color” in the name of equity over equality. pic.twitter.com/IzNlc4X8VO

And Harris launched into her usual giggle-fest and babbled about Venn diagrams.
She is truly unbelievable. In nearly 30 years as a professor, I’m quite certain that every single student that I’ve ever taught is exponentially smarter than @kamalaharris. I think the letter g is smarter than her. https://t.co/iq1XRIKDHU

“Apparently she doesn’t realize during disasters especially in Florida everyone is helped. I have been through several hurricanes everyone helps everyone!” M Schafer
“Why did Kamala Harris just say “communities of color” will be prioritized when the Biden administration provides Hurricane Ian relief — isn’t that discrimination?” P Szypula
“If journalists were any good at doing their jobs they’d be hammering Kamala Harris on the remarks she made today about how white families affected by Hurricane Ian won’t be getting any federal funds because the money will be diverted to “communities of color” before all else.” Ian Miles Gray
“Kamala Harris is deadass maybe the worst politician I’ve ever seen not in terms of her policies or whatever but just never seen someone so simultaneously so hungry for power and also with zero charisma or ability to speak like a normal person in any context.” Mac
Not only did she mistakenly say that the US had an “alliance” with North Korea the other day, now she babbles about giving hurricane help only to certain races or genders. Everyone should have equal access to help based on their need. She’s about as compassionate as a poisonous snake.
