Junior high school Spanish teacher attempts to indoctrinate kids on ‘privilege,’ now under investigation

CfW-wqOWwAAVvFPAn assignment on “privilege” handed out to students at Monroe Junior High School in Tampa, Florida, has left parents furious, The Blaze reported.  The teacher involved was reportedly removed from the classroom and the incident is currently under investigation.

The Blaze added:

Gina Stiles, the mother of one student in the class, was disturbed by the assignment and posted it on her Facebook page, asking, “If your child came home and told you that their teacher gave them this to fill out, what would you do?”

She told WTSP-TV that her daughter is only 12 years old and doesn’t even know many of the terms listed on the sheet.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

After Stiles voiced her objection to the assignment on social media, she and a group of other parents met with Monroe Junior High Principal Pete Magara.

Here’s a photo of the assignment in question:

According to District spokeswoman Tanya Arja, the assignment was teacher-generated and not approved by the school district.

“We expect our teachers to provide a safe environment and this assignment could compromise that environment,” Arja said.

The unnamed teacher said the exercise was intended to teach students about “diversity” and “inequality.”

But parents say that isn’t her job.

“To me that has nothing to do with Spanish. You’re here to teach my child a foreign language, not anything else,” Stiles said.

Here’s a video report of the incident:
