John Kirby: Another Biden Administration Serial Liar

"We didn't leave millions in military equipment behind in Afghanistan"

The Biden administration is well known for misdirection, misinformation, and flat out lies. From Biden himself to his Press Secretary, we’ve been inundated with bs since he got into office. We’ve also been subjected to lies by his national security council spokesman John Kirby, who recently claimed the US did not leave behind millions in military equipment during the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. He’s right – it was BILLIONS, not millions (SIGAR).

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

John Kirby is the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council. He is a retired Rear Admiral in the US Navy. And he is a total disgrace to the uniform he once wore. In 2013, Obama appointed him Pentagon Press Secretary, but was removed by then SecDef Ashe Carter. Under Biden, he was a State Department Spokesman until 2022, then moved to the National Security Council position that he holds now.

In August of 2021, he stated that there was chaos in the Afghanistan withdrawal. Now, after the White House whitewashed the withdrawal in order to blame Trump, he says there was no chaos.

During an Aug. 24, 2021, White House press briefing, Kirby described the scene of the withdrawal as chaotic, telling reporters in “the first few days” of the event, there was “physical crush and chaos.”

Despite his initial description of the scene, Kirby recently attempted to walk back on his claim, telling reporters that he “just didn’t see” the “chaos” in the withdrawal that led to the deaths of 13 American soldiers…

“So I’m sorry. I just don’t buy the whole argument of chaos. It was tough in the first few hours you would expect it to be. There was nobody at the airport and certainly no Americans. It took time to get in there,” Kirby told reporters. Fox

One strike too many, John Kirby. Now for the lie after the White House issued a “report” that attempted to blame Trump for the messy Afghanistan withdrawal and subsequent deaths of Americans and Afghans. He now claims that the Biden administration didn’t leave all that military equipment behind.

The US military claimed that the equipment left behind was worthless because they “sabotaged it.” They also believed that helicopters, MRAPS, and fixed wing aircraft probably couldn’t be used by the Taliban (the assumption was that they didn’t know how). But after subtracting such monetary items that were indeed rendered worthless, the total was STILL around $7.2 Billion in military equipment, according to the SIGAR report in February 2023. Everything from night goggles to rifles was included. That’s quite a haul for the Taliban and their terrorist cohorts. Many of the items are now being used by Pakistani terrorists as well. Yes, America, the Taliban is capable of fixing things. So, John Kirby – your assessment is totally wrong.

In some attacks, police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa determined that the TTP militants used advanced weapons and gadgets that had belonged to U.S. or Afghan forces to carry out nighttime ambushes. After one such attack in the suburbs of Peshawar on Jan. 14, Moazzam Jah Ansari, the provincial police chief at the time, revealed that the TTP had conducted a “coordinated” strike using high-tech equipment like thermal weapon sights.

The attackers killed three police officers, including a senior official.

Ansari said that TTP militants had used similar equipment in ambushes in Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu and Lakki Marwat, the most volatile districts in the province. Police statistics show 118 officers were killed in terror attacks in the province in 2022 alone. Nissei Asia

Then there’s the BLA…the Baloch Liberation Army.

Other analysts said there was evidence that “jihadi outfits in Indian-administered Kashmir” have obtained American hardware from Afghanistan, including extremely useful night vision gear.

The Taliban has denied providing TTP or the BLA with captured American equipment, but Nikkei Asia noted the TTP is producing propaganda videos that show its fighters training with American-made rifles that appear to have been taken from the U.S.-backed Afghan National Army. These weapons give the terrorists a considerable edge over the Pakistani police.  Breitbart

None of that counts the lack of accountability to track all the weapons and equipment that were given to Afghanistan prior to the withdrawal. So why did John Kirby lie about such an easily corroborated thing? Because he’s one of them. He’s been around the Democrat false narratives so long that he is fully willing to lie to protect them.
