Former Secretary of State John Kerry admitted in an interview early Wednesday to conducting rogue diplomacy with a top Iranian official behind President Trump’s back.
Kerry admitted to meeting with former Iran Minister Javad Zarif on multiple occasions without the current administration’s approval.
Conducting diplomacy with a foreign nation in defiance of what the President has deemed in the best interests of the American people is borderline treason by nearly every measuring stick.
It is most certainly, at the very least, a blatant violation of the Logan Act.
Is America headed for a recession?
John Kerry admits to multiple meetings with Javad Zarif, the smooth front-man for the Iranian dictatorship, to help the regime defy U.S. government policy. In other circumstances you might call it "collusion". Why, it might even violate the Logan Act. https://t.co/8yj5LG5UAs

“I met with him at a conference in Norway,” Kerry said, speaking about Zarif. “I think I saw him in a conference in Munich at the World Economic Forum. So I’ve probably seen him three or four times.”
The former Obama official indicated that he had discussed aspects of the Iran missile program because he does not believe President Trump is currently engaged in their own diplomacy.
“They (Iran) say they’re prepared to negotiate and to resolve these issues,” he said. “But the administration’s taken a very different tack.”
“I don’t know as I talk to you today if there’s been any dialogue or sit down.”
The question remains … Why the hell is that Kerry’s concern right now? He has absolutely no official government role involving foreign relations. The only reason he would possibly take such actions is to undermine the President.

The Logan Act states that: “Any citizen of the United States … who, without authority of the United States … carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government … shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.”
Seems pretty clear-cut here.
Kerry’s admission coincides with previous reports that he had been holding then-secret meetings with Zarif.
Can you imagine if somebody like Condoleeza Rice or George Bush had engaged in talks with Iraqi or Afghani officials while Barack Obama was President?
“From my point of view,” Kerry explained Wednesday, “I think President Trump would have been much better advised to have kept the (Iran nuclear deal).”
Kerry has long been critical of President Trump for pulling back on a nuclear deal that was supposed to cement Obama’s legacy as a peace negotiator, chiming in at the time of the decision with comrades Hillary Clinton and the former President.
Trump’s actions were “dragging the world back to the brink,” he claimed.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders nuked that claim saying: “I think based on each of those individuals’ lack of success in this entire process on foreign affairs, they would probably be the last three people that we would look to for advice and counsel, and whether or not we had made the right decisions.”
Kerry didn’t get the hint, continuing to offer advice and counsel to a foreign adversary. If anyone were looking for real, tangible ‘collusion,’ they just found it.
