For some time, propagandists in the so-called “mainstream media,” known here as the “Democrat-media complex,” have engaged in a Soviet-style campaign to demonize conservatives. But will the Alinsky tactics being used against conservatives and supporters of the Constitution result in violence?
From CNN’s Piers Morgan to practically the entire lineup at MSNBC – the official network of insane liberal hate – media outlets have demonized gun owners, supporters of the Constitution, members of the Tea Party, Christians, and pretty much anyone to the right of Josef Stalin.
The coverage of the 2012 campaign was bad – certainly worse than it was in 2008 – but coverage of recent events has gotten even worse, if such a thing is possible.
In fact, one can easily compare today’s “news” with Nazi propaganda designed to make Germans hate Jews. The only difference is that networks now want you to hate conservatives, and the programs are in English. And they don’t care about little things like the truth.
Consider just a few examples:
Shortly after the Boston Marathon bombings, the NYT’s Nick Kristof decided to use it as a tool to bash Senate Republicans.
Salon’s David Sirota expressed hope the bomber turns out to be a white American. He later doubled down in another article entitled: “I Still Hope the Bomber Is a White American.”
Dina Temple-Raston, a correspondent at the taxpayer-funded NPR implied that April is a good month for conservatives to engage in terrorism in part, because of Hitler’s birthday, which falls on the 20th.
Every day brings a new outrage and new stories of media outlets that tell slanted stories or stories with incomplete information. Every day, networks like MSNBC smear conservatives on panels consisting of nothing but liberals.
Disagree with Obama and you’re labeled a racist, a traitor or worse.
Support the Second Amendment and you get called a terrorist or someone who supports murder.
Go to church, profess Christianity and disagree with gay marriage and you’re labeled a bigot and a homophobe.
It’s only a matter of time before some liberal nutjob decides to get a gun and start shooting conservatives.
Oh, wait, that already happened.
Last August, Floyd Lee Corkins II, a Washington, D.C. LGBT volunteer, walked into the Family Research Council intending to shoot as many people as possible. He managed to wound a guard, but was taken down. He later admitted using the SPLC’s “hate map” to locate the FRC. The Democrat-media complex remained silent about that aspect of his case.
In Sept. 2010, Eric Lawrence Pidrman of Spring Hill, Florida, said he watched too much MSNBC when he was sentenced to over two years for threatening a Republican member of Congress.
The so-called mainstream media has lost the trust of a vast majority of Americans.
Network news outlets can gain that trust back, but they’re going to have to do two very important things.
First, they need to recognize the problem and admit that yes, they are biased.
Second, they’ll need to beg forgiveness from the millions of conservatives they’ve insulted and smeared over the years.
Personally, I’m not holding my breath.
