Is Joe Biden really calling the shots? The survey says….

Biden
Joe Biden’s popularity is plummeting in the polls, and a slight majority of likely voters don’t think he is calling the shots for the administration.

Confidence in Joe Biden is sinking faster than the Titanic in a new round of surveys, including a new Rasmussen survey that finds only 27 percent of likely voters are “very confident” the president “is physically and mentally up to the job.”

On top of that, according to Rasmussen, is an alarming 53 percent of voters “now believe others are making decisions for Biden behind the scenes, while just 38% think Biden is really doing the job of president.”

Meanwhile, a new Quinnipiac University survey finds that only 37 percent of Americans approve of the job Biden is doing, while 52 percent says he’s not cutting it. That squares with Rasmussen’s Daily Presidential Tracking Poll, which says 58 percent of likely voters disapprove of Biden’s job performance while only 41 percent approve. A closer look shows only 21 percent “strongly approve” of Biden’s performance, while a whopping 50 percent “strongly disapprove.”

Quinnipiac says Biden’s negatives haven’t shifted since Oct. 6. The survey report said something else that should raise red flags in the White House.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“Adding to Biden’s political peril,” Quinnipiac said, “just 28% of registered independents give the president a thumbs up on his job performance, while 56% do not.”

The worst part of this polling is that the country is only nine months into Biden’s four-year term. Can Biden hold things together for the remaining three-plus years?

This is not just partisan posturing. Judging from the president’s declining poll numbers, a lot of Americans may be having “buyer’s remorse” over the fact they helped put him in the White House.

Fox News said Wednesday Biden’s approval rating is in “free fall,” and blame can go to the Afghanistan debacle, inflation, rising food and gas prices, and the surge of illegal border crossings.

One interesting revelation from Fox News is that Donald Trump remains very popular with Republican voters. While there have been hints of Trump running to regain the White House in 2024, a majority of Americans (58%) don’t want him to run again, although among Republicans, a second run for office got 78 percent approval, Fox News said.

The news isn’t just bad for Biden. Quinnipiac’s survey also found a negative 60-30 percent job approval rating for Democrats in Congress, and a 65-23 percent negative rating for Republicans on Capitol Hill.

Breitbart News reported it has been more than 90 days since Biden held a press conference. He has walked away from questions following appearances to give statements, and Quinnipiac polling analyst Tim Malloy may have summed it up best when he noted in a university press release, “Battered on trust, doubted on leadership, and challenged on overall competency, President Biden is being hammered on all sides as his approval rating continues its downward slide to a number not seen.”
