A knock-off Chinese plane similar to the US F-35 was inadvertently posted by the F-35 JPO (Joint Program Office) on Veteran’s Day. Somebody needs to help this administration figure out some basics …oh wait, a new administration is coming in January. Good. The responses on X were classic- and well deserved. This sort of thing continues to happen as interns pick the first plane or ship they see without checking. There have been numerous instances of choosing Russian planes and ships for posts by the US Military. Interns. Sheesh. This time it was a Chinese plane -an F-35 knock-off.
For those who aren’t familiar with the F-35, it’s a single engine aircraft. It looks like the JSF Office used a stock image rather than pulling from the countless photos available to them via the DoD.

That’s only a small sampling of the responses to the pic of a Chinese plane on Veterans Day of all times to blow it.
The US F-35 Lightning is a single engine aircraft. The Chinese version has two engines. Please note that US aircraft have a distinctive pattern on the wings – if they weren’t familiar with the engine issues, at least they could check out the wings.
The JPO reportedly turned off the comments, as other media claimed they deleted the offending post.
Way to go, Biden fans. Just another snaffu in the stupid column.
