‘I’m the majority’: North Carolina man schools city council about gun control, wins Twitter
While addressing the Greensboro, North Carolina, City Council, gun rights advocate Mark Robinson issued a passionate plea supporting the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms, telling the council that, “I’m the majority.”
“When are you all gonna start standing up for the majority? … I’m the majority! I’m a law-abiding citizen who’s never shot anybody. It seems every time we have one of these shootings, nobody wants to put the blame where it goes, which is at the shooter’s feet. You want to put it at my feet! It doesn’t make any sense,” he said.
Robinson also said that law-abiding citizens are the “first ones taxed, the last ones considered and the first ones punished” when tragedies like the Parkland shooting takes place.
According to Fox News Insider, Greensboro “is debating whether a yearly gun and knife show should still be held this summer.”
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The report adds:
Though the city attorney said the city cannot cancel the event at Greensboro Coliseum, the council opened the discussion up for public debate Tuesday.
The conversation brought out passion on both sides, with critics claiming that the show “allow[s] people to take advantage of the gun show loophole and bypass background checks.”
Robinson, Twitchy said, won Twitter with what can only be described as a “truth-bomb” about the Second Amendment.
Every American needs to listen to this man. He is speaking the truth. #NRA https://t.co/UazAHulopE

We agree.
@ChristieC733 Most powerful, passionate speech about our 2nd amendment rights I’ve ever heard.

Indeed it was, and it’s a speech that needs to be heard and repeated from coast to coast.
Robinson made the case that criminals don’t follow the law and he issued a warning that any attempt to take guns away will be met with a fight.
“I don’t mean shots fired, I don’t mean fist alone, I mean I’m going to come down here to this City Council and raise hell just like these loonies from the left,” he said.
“We want our rights and we want to keep our rights and by God we’re gonna keep ’em come hell or high water,” he added to applause.

As a final note, Robinson is correct when he says that he’s the majority, as Dave Workman notes that the vast majority do not support a repeal of the Second Amendment.
