I Scream for Ice Cream, Just Not Ben and Jerry’s

Liberal company's tweet may go the way of Bud Light

Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream is a political promoter in the guise of an Ice Cream company. They proved their left-wing politics once again after a tweet on July 4th ignited calls for a boycott. “It’s high time we recognize that the US exists on stolen Indigenous land and commit to returning it.” The message went over ‘like a lead balloon.’ (The Epoch Times, Fox)

Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream has been radical leftist forever and promoted numerous progressive causes. This tweet was one of their most ridiculous efforts ever. Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream was sold to Unilever in 2000. But it has remained leftist since their beginnings, championing socialist/Marxist ideas as if they were Bernie Sanders himself. But this is ICE CREAM we’re talking about- and this company has never fully understood their actual role in commerce: to make people happy, not drag them into the muck and mire of politics.

If we were to take their virtue signaling ideas to heart, what would over 300 million of us do…everyone move back to Europe? Or will Ben and Jerry’s give back every single acre of land on which their factories exist? Conquering the land is different than stealing it, just ask history. Dissing America on the 4th of July was a truly stupid move and may yet result in a significant loss of business. It could the way of Bud Light. They’ve lost billions.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Twitter users reminded them of their stupidity:

“Is Unilever going to give its real property in the United States to Native Americans, or is this just empty virtue signaling from some rich people?” @DanFriedman81
“I have thrown away what Ice Cream we had in the freezer and will never spend another cent buying any Ben and Jerry’s product.” @StephenButler55

“So you’re going to stop selling ice cream here like you did in Israel?” @OfficeofMike
“You’ve made money off the American citizen…reaped the benefits from capitalism…you really need to sit this one out. I have a feeling you are about to get the Bud Light treatment.” @TruthorConseq12
Not only do you make hundreds of millions of profit on that “stolen indigenous land”, but you use the pretense of caring about it to make even more money. I can’t believe people don’t see through it and continue to buy your overpriced ice cream. @5pointNat

While the company’s left-wing politics may show the boycott may not be as severe as the one that struck Bud Light and Target, they need to be hit in their wallets to prove to them that not everyone in America wants or needs to have politics shoved in their faces all the time. Keep their grimy disgusting thoughts away from my ice cream and let me enjoy it in peace.
