Hypocrisy: Twitter bans Roger Stone for mean tweets about CNN hosts, lets liberals threaten murder

If it weren’t for double standards, liberals would have no standards whatsoever.  That seems especially true regarding Big Social Media.  On Sunday, the Washington Post reported that Twitter banned Trump ally Roger Stone for something he told CNN host Don Lemon and other anchors.

According to the Post:

Roger Stone didn’t tweet anything worse at CNN’s Don Lemon than he has said to someone else before.

“Piece of s—,” Stone wrote to the anchor mid-rant on Friday night, after CNN told viewers of an indictment in an investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 election, which Stone helped President Trump win.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

But Stone has said that to many on Twitter — most recently Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-Va.), whom he called a “closeted piece of s—” in September.

Likewise “human excrement,” which graced several Stone tweets before it appeared in Friday’s tirade against Lemon and CNN.

The problem, however, is that Twitter lets liberals hurl much worse than this — with zero consequences.

As we and others have repeatedly reported, liberals on Twitter often issue actual death threats on the social media platform.  And Twitter does absolutely nothing.

Let me repeat:  Absolutely. Nothing.  Zero.  Zilch. Nada.  Nothing.

Stone, however, isn’t taking the ban sitting down.

According to Politico:

“This is a strange way to do business and part and parcel of the systematic effort by the tech left to censor and silence conservative voices,” Stone said Sunday in an email to POLITICO.

Stone added that after communicating with “prominent telecommunication attorneys,” he has decided to bring legal action against Twitter. It’s not clear what the basis for that action would be.

Stone lashed out at CNN anchor Don Lemon and others on Friday night, seemingly responding to reports that an indictment from special prosecutor Robert Mueller was imminent in the ongoing probe into the Trump election campaign’s alleged ties to Russia.

Stone tweeted that Lemon was “dumber than dog sh–” and deserved to be mocked and punished.

Stone pointed out the blatant hypocrisy on the site.

“I have been inundated on Twitter with death threats, threats to kill my wife, my family, my children and even my dogs yet Twitter seems unconcerned with these bloggers,” he told Politico.

Of course not.  It’s been my experience that social media sites run by liberals are quite hypocritical.

As we reported recently, Facebook, the largest social media site on the planet, said it had no problem with a black nationalist post advocating mass murder of Trump supporters.  Nevertheless, last November, it said a picture of an eagle superimposed on a U.S. flag violated its standards and earned yours truly a 30-day ban.

Of course, Twitter is just as bad.  Shortly after last November’s election, Twitter allowed the hashtag #AssassinateTrump to trend.

It’s easy to surmise from this that Twitter is perfectly okay with death threats against conservatives.  Sadly, the social media site has refused to specifically condemn such threats and it quite frequently allows them to remain.

Vanity Fair reported:

On Friday, Twitter announced that it would begin enforcing its new, stricter anti-harassment policies in November. C.E.O. Jack Dorsey announced earlier this month that the social media platform would be cracking down on users’ behavior to curb the spread of “hate symbols,” “violent groups,” and “unwanted sexual advances.” In lieu of a comment on Stone’s suspension, a Twitter representative pointed Buzzfeed reporters to the new policy on abusive behavior.

Nothing on death threats against conservatives…

One person asked:

He’s a liberal with a blue check, so…

We wondered:

We’re not holding our breath…
