Green Energy from Solar and Wind cannot supply even the green energy needed to power your fancy new Electric Vehicles when conditions are extreme. The State officials warned that Californians would have to cut back on usage, and even avoid charging their electric vehicles due to a major heatwave targeting the state this week. It might cause blackouts on the California power grid. So much for the reliability of green energy.
“Starting tomorrow through Tuesday, California and the West are expecting extreme heat that is likely to strain the grid with increased energy demands, especially over the holiday weekend…In what’s likely to be the most extensive heat wave in the West so far this year, temperatures in Northern California are expected to be 10-20 degrees warmer than normal through Tuesday, Sept. 6. In Southern California, temperatures are expected to be 10-18 degrees warmer than normal.”
During a Flex Alert, consumers are urged to reduce energy use from 4-9 p.m. when the system is most stressed because demand for electricity remains high and there is less solar energy available. The top three conservation actions are to set thermostats to 78 degrees or higher, avoid using large appliances and charging electric vehicles, and turn off unnecessary lights.
Officials are expected to tell people not to charge their EVs if the grid usage reaches more than 48,000 megawatts during the heat wave. All of this comes as the State banned the purchase of new gas powered cars by 2035. Did anyone think this through? Apparently not. It was an agenda, a power trip to coerce people into their plans. We’re all going to die, you know, because the planet is going to keel over any minute if we don’t DO SOMETHING.

Somebody please let this current pack of Democrats in on that. Rushing headlong into green energy is becoming a disaster. And it truly is crumbling civilization because the Democrats have their panties in a wad over forcing the green agenda. There are numerous places in the country that don’t have enough sunlight to sustain a solar panel. There are places that don’t have enough wind to make the turbins turn. Not to mention that those ugly d***** things are killing our birds by the thousands. Technology needs to advance significantly and fossil fuels are absolutely essential to keep the train on the tracks. The California power grid is just one example of the potential for disaster.
