As we reported earlier, the Associated Press and others called the special election in Alabama for Democrat Doug Jones. Naturally, GOP elites and their Never-Trump allies celebrated the victory and some used the occasion to bash Breitbart’s Steve Bannon, who supported Judge Roy Moore.
“Tonight’s results are clear – the people of Alabama deemed Roy Moore unfit to serve in the U.S. Senate. I hope Senator-elect Doug Jones will do the right thing and truly represent Alabama by choosing to vote with the Senate Republican Majority,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Chairman Cory Gardner, R-Colorado.
“Roy Moore lost. Steve Bannon lost. Donald Trump lost. Pedophilia lost. Bigotry lost. Homophobia lost. Racism lost. Doug Jones won. Mitch McConnell won. African-Americans won. Women won. Victims won. Justice won. Morality won. Values won. Sanity won. Decency won. America won,” added CNN propagandist Ana Navarro.

“Decency wins,” tweeted Jeff Flake, the senator from Arizona who gave Jones a $100 donation.

The Mitch McConnell-aligned Senate Leadership Fund cheered Moore’s loss in a statement, saying, “This is a brutal reminder that candidate quality matters regardless of where you are running. Not only did Steve Bannon cost us a critical Senate seat in one of the most Republican states in the country, but he also dragged the President of the United States into his fiasco.”
Tim Miller, who reportedly pitched the original Washington Post story that alleged Roy Moore engaged in sexual misconduct with multiple underage girls, tweeted, “Heckuva Job Bannon!” Miller then added, “Cheers to all the craven assholes who knew better but endorsed a guy who molested a 14-year-old girl anyway.”
Never-Trump Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) daughter, Meghan McCain, said, “Suck it, Bannon.”

Never-Trumper Bill Kristol added: “Perfect end to 2017 Aug 15: Roy Moore leads in GOP AL Sen primary. Sep 26: Moore wins runoff. Dec 12: Dems win seat.”

Umm, McConnell did everything in his power to stop this debacle. Meanwhile Trump & Bannon opportunistically condoned it

Steve Bannon is a cancer.

“Before we get the results, I’d just like to thank Steve Bannon for showing us how to lose the reddest state in the union and Governor Ivey for the opportunity to make this national embarrassment a reality,” said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s former Chief of Staff Josh Holmes.
The election results still have not been certified, and the Moore campaign may request a recount.
Of course many of the alleged “Republicans” celebrating a Democrat victory convicted Moore in the court of public opinion after the Washington Post broke allegations of sexual misconduct — allegations which have yet to be proven.
And let’s also not forget that this is the same crowd who wanted to hand the country over to Hillary Clinton and George Soros in 2016.
Something tells me voters won’t forget…
- Confused: Sheila Jackson Lee congratulates ‘Doug Moore’ for Alabama victory
- Media, GOPe, Washington insiders: We want evil Hillary and George Soros to destroy America
- Mitch McConnell implies he may not seat Judge Roy Moore if he wins election
