Good news for Biden? Negative number ‘only’ 57%

Joe Biden’s popularity is down while gas prices are up, no matter how some media spin things.

There may be no better example of what media critics call “spin” then a paragraph in a Fox News report about Joe Biden’s negative ratings stating “An NPR/PBS/Marist national survey released March 4 that indicated the president’s approval up to 47% and his disapproval down to 51% grabbed plenty of headlines.”

If that’s good news, it didn’t last long, as the same Fox story only a couple of lines later, added, “But Biden stands well underwater at 42% approval and 57% disapproval in a Wall Street Journal survey conducted March 2-7 and released on Friday. Those numbers were virtually unchanged for the Journal’s previous poll, which was conducted in November.”

A glance at the lead paragraph of the paywall-blocked WSJ article confirmed the numbers.

And then comes Rasmussen’s Daily Presidential Tracking poll, showing Biden with a 41 percent job performance approval rating against a stinging 58 percent disapproval rating. A deeper look at the numbers reveals even worse news for the Delaware Democrat: only 22 percent “strongly approve” of Biden’s job performance while 48 percent “strongly disapprove.” He comes away with a minus-26 Presidential Approval Index rating, which is actually an improvement from a couple of weeks ago, when Biden was down to -30.

As reported by Fox, the WSJ lead pollster was John Anzalone, who reportedly told the newspaper, “The mood of the country hasn’t gotten any better since the last poll. In fact, it’s gotten a little worse.”

That could be due to the financial hammering experienced by the average household, thanks to the Biden economy. According to Fox Business report, “Skyrocketing inflation rates are costing the average American household $296.45 in extra expenses, according to a recent analysis.”

In the midst of Biden’s economic train wreck, Fox News (once again) says the president has started pointing fingers in all directions except into the mirror, blaming everyone and everything but what critics call his own ineptitude.

As the cost of gasoline continues to rise, along with the uptick in inflation, Biden’s poll numbers conversely slip. Inflation is likely to be the main campaign issue this year, including the skyrocketing cost of fuel. A Republican re-capture of Capitol Hill would effectively scuttle any long-term plans of the Biden-Harris administration.
