This week’s episode of CensorTrack with Paiten featured MRC Business & MRC Free Speech America Associate Editor Joseph Vazquez, who covered the first part of a new MRC Business report: “Propaganda Czar: Soros Bankrolls 253 Groups to Influence Global Media.”
The report traced Soros’ money trail and exposed the leftist billionaire’s impact on the media and free speech.

“If you’re wondering why there isn’t free speech on Big Tech platforms like Facebook and Twitter and Instagram, TikTok,” Vazquez said, “it’s because they trace their money back to ideologues like Soros. So, their fact-checking is going to be slanted in one political direction and it’s certainly not going to benefit conservatives. It’s going to benefit the left.”
He discussed Big Tech’s use of the Poynter Institute’s International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) to censor content. “That’s a common tool that Facebook and Instagram use to censor opinions the Big Tech platform [Meta] doesn’t agree with.”
Big Tech platforms employed fact-checkers from the Soros-backed IFCN to censor the New York Post’s Hunter Biden scandal. The bombshell report implicated Hunter Biden and the Biden family in corrupt foreign business dealings.
“After The New York Times verified, months after the fact, the emails that the New York Post had reported on, those same fact-checkers didn’t update their old stories that cast doubt on the authenticity of those emails [on Hunter Biden’s laptop],” Vazquez said. “They left them like that. And yet we’re supposed to trust this apparatus to be the truth gatekeepers?”
Vazquez revealed the man behind the money. “Soros has this very bizarre notion of society,” he said. “If I was just to bill it in a nutshell, it’s the undermining of national sovereignty.”
