As we reported here and here, Fresno State English Professor Randa Jarrar was one of the many unhinged leftists who celebrated the death of former First Lady Barbara Bush. Her unhinged tweets apparently sparked enough backlash that the school now says it is investigating the incident.
According to the Fresno Bee:
Fresno State is investigating the incident in which an English professor tweeted that former first lady Barbara Bush was an “amazing racist,” said the university’s provost, who disagreed with the professor’s contention she can’t be fired because of tenure.
At a news conference Wednesday, provost Lynnette Zelezny address what she called the “disrespectful” comments by English professor Randa Jarrar on Twitter hours after it was announced Tuesday that former first lady Bush had died at age 92.
“We understand the concern from the community and we are taking this very seriously,” Zelezny said.
So what was it Jarrar said?
“Barbara Bush was a generous and smart and amazing racist who, along with her husband, raised a war criminal. F**k outta here with your nice words,” she tweeted, according to a report at Twitchy.
“PSA: either you are against these pieces of s**t and their genocidal ways or you’re part of the problem. that’s actually how simple this is. I’m happy the witch is dead. can’t wait for the rest of her family to fall to their demise the way 1.5 million iraqis have,” she added.
“All the hate I’m getting ALMOST made me forget how happy I am that George W Bush is probably really sad right now,” she said in a third tweet.
Apparently Randa Jarrar gave out a phone number last night she said was her own so people would call it and it was a mental health crisis hotline. https://t.co/mPZiQD5OUs

It seems this didn’t sit too well with actual medical professionals:
Your freedom of speech does not entitle you to have all these people spam an actual mental health crisis line. Please stop.

Now shes posting mental health hotlines and creating a massive potential calling issue for a service some may really need. This is horrible. @randajarrar needs help @Fresno_State she is now potentially hurting services students needs pic.twitter.com/7YzJNlf8A2

Initially, Joseph I. Castro, the President of Fresno State, issued this statement:

Twitchy wondered if Castro was made aware of her posting the number to the crisis line.
@JosephICastro Your “professor” just posted a number to the Mental Health Crisis line as HER number- this not only violates the Ethics policy @Fresno_State but puts peoples lives in danger : I demand a full investigation! I’ve emailed Dean #SandraWitte @FresnoPolice https://t.co/m1ucaXfuYO

The school also disputed her claim that tenure protects her from being fire.
“To answer the technical question: Can she not be fired? The answer is no,” Zelezny said.
Farrar is reportedly on a leave of absence from the school and could not be contacted, the Fresno Bee said.
Regular readers of this site may remember another Fresno State teacher by the name of Lars Maischak, who said that President Trump “must hang.”
We can’t help but wonder: Is being a lunatic leftist a prerequisite for a teaching position at Fresno State, or is there something in the water that brings out the unhinged “crazy?”
