Fox News hack Shepard Smith pushes liberal propaganda, says Trump ‘violated’ Iran deal

While speaking with author and foreign affairs journalist Gordon Chang, Fox News anchor Shepard Smith claimed that President Trump “violated” the Iran nuclear deal when he decided to withdraw from the agreement made with former President Barack Obama.

“You can’t really get out of the Iran deal, though,” Smith told Chang. “There’s no provision from that. You can make a decision to now violate the terms of the deal that you were a party to, but ‘pulling out’ is a bit of a misnomer.”

According to the Huffington Post:

Trump fulfilled one of his main campaign promises on Tuesday when he announced that his administration would impose “the highest level of economic sanctions” on Iran, violating its involvement in the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), in which the Middle Eastern country agreed to curb its nuclear development program in exchange for the lifting of strict economic sanctions.

The decision broke with the United States’ European allies. Leaders of Britain, France and Germany released a statement after the decision expressing concern and their continued commitment to the JCPOA.

Apparently, the fact that the agreement was not a treaty ratified by the Senate but an executive action by the previous president completely escaped Shepard.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Smith’s liberal slant has left quite a few people with a sour taste for his alleged “reporting,” judging by comments on social media:

The Blaze said that radio host Doc Thompson “called out Smith for his anti-Trump bias and for clearly using the word ‘violate’ to confuse people into thinking the president did something wrong by pulling out of the deal.”
