Former Newsweek editor: Conservatives aren’t ‘rational human beings or patriotic Americans’

Ben AdlerContinuing the effort to foment hate and violence against conservatives, former Newsweek editor Ben Adler said at Grist that conservatives aren’t “rational human beings or patriotic Americans.”  Got that?  If you’re conservative, you’re neither rational nor patriotic, according to Adler.

Moreover, now that Republicans are set to be the majority in the Senate, they are prepared to take the economy “hostage” and destroy the planet, he claimed.  Of course, it’s a steaming pile of bovine feces, but truth has never stopped liberals before.

Newsbusters‘ Joseph Rossell added:

Adler accused conservatives of “gearing up to cause climate mayhem,” and pointed to conservative efforts to reign in the EPA and approve construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. Despite polls that show otherwise, he alleged that these policies are not what Americans want, and conservatives were “lying” when they claimed a popular mandate.

With no sense of irony, Adler cited “Dark Overlord” Karl Rove as saying that conservatives might try to pass legislation on the Keystone XL pipeline and other environmental issues “that could get Democratic votes.” Apparently conservatives can’t do anything right by Adler, even when they propose bipartisan legislation.

President Barack Obama can still veto any bill that crosses his desk, but Adler alleged a conservative conspiracy to push a scary agenda. He said conservatives would “force Obama’s hand” by threatening to “cause a government shutdown, or trigger a global financial collapse by breaching the debt ceiling and defaulting on the U.S. national debt.”

Make no mistake, this is part of the leftist playbook — use the same tactics employed by totalitarians like Hitler and Stalin to demonize their opponents.

You read that right.  Now that Democrats have lost, you will see liberals pull out ALL the stops.  Trust me on this — if you thought liberals were hateful and genocidal before Tuesday night, you’ve seen nothing yet.
