Former Dem Turned Republican Georgia State Rep. Mesha Mainor Shares Emails From Democrats Proving Their True Hateful RACIST Colors

On July 11, Georgia state Rep. Mesha Mainor announced that she had left the Democrat Party to become a Republican, telling social media, “I will NEVER apologize for being a black woman with a mind of my own.”

My name is Rep. Meisha Mainor and today I made the decision to leave the Democrat Party.

I represent a blue district in the city of Atlanta so this wasn’t a political decision for me. It was a a MORAL one.

Since then, the former Democrat has shared some of the utterly hate-filled racist emails sent to her by members of her former party.

Trust me when I say some of these messages are very graphic and difficult to read. Instead of flying off the handle, Mainor responded in a manner that can only be described as class.

Talk about low-information. Obviously, this person doesn’t know the difference between the Georgia House of Representatives and the U.S. House of Representatives.

This is the modern left, America.

Why did Mainor switch parties? In an op-ed published at the New York Post, she explained that after three years as a lawmaker, she realized “…that the principles of Democrats are not always aligned with those of black people.”

She noted:

Black children cannot read or perform simple math in marginalized communities.

In my district, some of the stats show as little as 2% to 3% academic proficiency.

The criminal-justice system led by black Democratic leadership is functioning at an all-time low.

Recently, the US Department of Justice initiated an investigation into the Fulton County Jail, reportedly after a man died from being eaten alive by bed bugs.

Crime is rampant, and Atlantans are afraid to leave their homes out of fear for their lives.

Democrats supported defunding the police. I did not.

Instead, she said she voted with Republicans to keep law-enforcement agencies intact.

“I also voted to support children that attend failing schools with parental or school-choice options,” Mainor said, adopting a position that Democrats vehemently oppose.

She added:

Exodus 9:9-14 shows us that a slave mentality is normalized when you are suppressed and oppressed into thinking failure and hopeless is better than the unknown.

I pray I am able to show those who may be unintentionally shackled in spirit that macro-politics is nothing more than sensationalism meant to alarm and scare you from truths.

It’s the micro, kitchen-table topics that many Democratic leaders fail to address that impact your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

Republicans are more focused on those issues.

I look forward to better serving my constituents and delivering on those matters as a member of the GOP.

Mainor also said in an interview that she was harassed and intimidated over her votes:

Believe it. As I have documented for more than a decade, THIS is the modern left. Let that sink in, and show this the next time some low-information obedience idiot calls you a racist for exercising or having an organized pantry.
