Florida AG Commissioner Nikki Fried Suspended 22 CCW Licenses for Those Who Were in DC on Jan 6.

Opinions and resultant actions of the left have gone totally off the charts. Nikki Fried, Florida’s AG commissioner, suspended 22 CCW licenses of people who were at the Jan 6th riot in DC. Have any of these people been charged with a crime? (Lee Williams, The Gun Writer)

Did all 22 of these people get to see their day in court first? Or did they get stripped of their rights without due process?

Note: Florida issues Concealed Weapon Licenses, not permits. She has her terminology wrong.

This week was the beginning of hearings into the Jan 6 riot, with a lot of emotional testimony from those who were attacked by rioters. But remember that the narratives of the media and the leftists in Congress do not necessarily jive with the facts. No real conservative Republicans were allowed to be on the panel – only a RINO named Adam Kinzinger. So the hearings will never truly be “fair and impartial.” There are still over 500 people being held in detention over the riot, and allegations of torture and abuse of them are rampant to the point that a group of legislators stood in front of the DOJ demanding answers. No response. Some are accusing the Biden administration of opening their own Gitmo in Washington DC.

Nikki Fried is no friend of the Second Amendment- she has made legal gun owners a target since becoming the elected AG commissioner in Florida. Unfortunately, that office is in charge of gun licensing in the state. She never mentioned whether or not any of the people were actually charged with a crime in the riot, she just stated that she has the authority to suspend their licenses. The license of a legal gun owner can only be suspended if they have been charged with a felony or another qualifying offense. She seems to have done it without saying whether anyone was actually charged and what for exactly. Not to mention that the timelines of events on Jan 6 specifically excluded Trump responsibility – but nobody listens to the facts in such an emotional frenzy.

“The deeply disturbing events that occurred at our nation’s Capitol on January 6th were sedition, treason, and domestic terrorism – and those individuals involved in the insurrection must be held accountable for attempting to subvert our democratic process. Since charges began being filed, we are using our lawful authority to immediately suspend the licenses of 22 individuals involved in the storming of the U.S. Capitol. This is an ongoing effort, and as charges and sentences continue in the wake of this despicable attack, we will further suspend and revoke any additional licenses granted to insurrectionists.”

Does she even know what sedition is? Apparently not. The most ‘deeply disturbing’ thing here is that an elected official, even an AG Commissioner, would deliberately suspend the rights of Floridians without any due process. Rep Anthony Sabatini tweeted that he feels she should be stripped of her powers for her action. We agree with him.
