Feds to Enforce Mask Mandate

As if law enforcement didn’t have enough to do already, the CDC and Biden Administration says that the Feds will enforce the mask mandate. Of the 300+ million Americans, having federal agencies be responsible for enforcing a mask mandate is setting a dangerous precedent.

Fubar. Talk about make a hash of things… the CDC order reads in part:

“CDC has issued an order that requires face masks to be worn by all travelers while on public transportation (which includes all passengers and all personnel operating conveyances). People must wear masks that completely cover both the mouth and nose while awaiting, boarding, disembarking, or traveling on airplanes, ships, ferries, trains, subways, buses, taxis, and ride-shares as they are traveling into, within, or out of the United States and U.S. territories. People must also wear masks while at transportation hubs (e.g., airports, bus or ferry terminals, train and subway stations, seaports) and other locations where people board public transportation in the United States and U.S. territories…

…Operators of public conveyances and transportation hubs must use best efforts to ensure that any person on the conveyance wears a mask when boarding, disembarking, and for the duration of travel or while entering or on the premises of the transportation hub…

…While this Order may be enforced and CDC reserves the right to enforce through criminal penalties, CDC does not intend to rely primarily on these criminal penalties but instead strongly encourages and anticipates widespread voluntary compliance as well as support from other federal agencies in implementing additional civil measures enforcing the provisions of this Order, to the extent permitted by law and consistency with President Biden’s Executive Order of January 21, 2021.”

What are the criminal penalties? A good question. But the whole idea of having federal agents of any kind enforcing a mask mandate is not just ludicrous, it’s dangerous. Reminiscent of certain federal police forces of a certain historical dictator in Germany.

…instruct people that wearing a mask on the conveyance/premises is a requirement of federal law and that not complying with the requirement is a violation of federal law;

There are a plethora of Federal agencies to call if someone doesn’t wear a mask. Most of them have “bigger fish to fry” than someone who isn’t wearing one. Then there’s Jen Psaki for example, who routinely fails to wear a face mask during her briefings. Someone should report her. Report Biden too, while you’re at it.
