FBI Investigating Assault on Female Fort Bliss Service Member by Afghan Evacuees

A female Fort Bliss Service member was allegedly assaulted by three male Afghan evacuees on the New Mexico side of the Fort Bliss Complex known as the Doña Ana Complex. The El Paso FBI is investigating the assault after being referred to the agency by Fort Bliss officials. The incident occurred on Sunday morning at the Complex where evacuees are being housed.

We can confirm a female service member supporting Operation Allies Welcome reported being assaulted on Sept. 19 by a small group of male evacuees at the Doña Ana Complex in New Mexico...

The safety and well-being of our service members, as well as all of those on our installations, is paramount. We immediately provided appropriate care, counseling, and support to the service member…

We take the allegation seriously and appropriately referred the matter to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Lt. Col. Allie Payne, director of Public Affairs for Fort Bliss and the 1st Armored Division.

Fort Bliss stated that they were “implementing additional security measures to include increased health and safety patrols, additional lighting, and enforcement of the buddy system at the Doña Ana Complex,” according to The Hill.

Fort Bliss also stated that “We will cooperate fully with the FBI and will continue to ensure the service member reporting this assault is fully supported.”

The FBI confirmed they are investigating the incident, but declined to give any further details.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

According to KVIA, their sources indicated that the attack took place around midnight on Sunday as the female Fort Bliss service member was coming on duty, and was ”not sexual in nature.” Their report said that the female soldier’s injuries did not require hospitalization and she is doing fine.

Lack of proper vetting in Afghan evacuees

Earlier in September, Rep. Yvette Herrell (R-N.M.) led over forty of her congressional colleagues in penning a letter to President Joe Biden (pdf) expressing “grave concern about the rushed and incomplete vetting of Afghan evacuees being brought to the United States.” …

To be abundantly clear the United States should honor its promises to help Afghan nationals and their families who have risked their lives to support U.S. and Coalition forces, applied for the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program, and are now fleeing the Taliban…

Nonetheless, there are substantial and concrete concerns that in the course of your calamitous withdrawal of troops and evacuation efforts in Afghanistan, some individuals may have made their way into the country who are terrorists or have terrorist intent, are convicted violent criminals, or are otherwise dangerous persons.

The Epoch Times

This incident, along with the arrest and indictment of two other Afghan evacuees, one for for child rape and one for wife abuse, illustrate the rushed evacuation of the Afghans was a horrific failure on the part of the Biden administration. Administration officials also apparently lied about their vetting of evacuees.
