“Evangelicals for Harris” – Christians Beware of Attempts to Deceive

Democrats are lying - don't fall for it.

There has been a concerted effort to deceive during this 2024 campaign. We’ve heard of everything from a California Sheriff who had his image used by Harris/Walz, to the editing of headlines to make them look good. But one attempt to deceive goes beyond cringe and heads toward an evil that takes the cake: the “Evangelicals for Harris” group used the image of the late Billy Graham to scrounge for votes. Franklin Graham, Billy’s son was not happy.

Evangelicals for Harris responded by telling Franklin Graham that HE had “departed from the gospel” and used a “heart emoji” with the response “Praying for you.” “The issue, Franklin, is that in your worship of Trump you have forsaken the Gospel. We are voting for Harris but we only worship Jesus. Remember the calling to which you were called. You know the Lord’s grace is always ready to receive you.”

That’s rich. One of the most famous preachers since Billy himself has most certainly NOT departed from the gospel – these groups are deliberate deceivers, of the kind that are headed straight to the theological place of eternal punishment. My question is: who are they praying to?

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“…while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:13

Franklin is nice, so he used the words with grace. But let’s be blunt: if you say you are a Christian, and you vote for Kamala Harris, you do not belong to Christ. You belong to the other guy. And “Evangelicals for Harris” have obviously never cracked the cover of a Bible — or they only look for the Scriptures they like instead of the whole of the Word of God. Let’s take a short trip through it to see how twisted they have made their arguments.

“There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.” Proverbs 6: 16-19

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have made it clear that they believe in abortion on demand – murder of the unborn. Akin to the ancient practice of sacrificing children to Molech in the Old Testament, it is not something that God takes lightly.

While we can debate whether the states should have the final say over the problem, the fact remains that the only remedy for murder is repentance. But the “Evangelicals for Harris” group is conspicuously linked to the deceptions and lies of the Harris/Walz ticket.

Stealing an image, especially an image of Billy Graham is despicable. It is despicable to steal the image of a Sheriff to further political goals. It’s despicable to use AI to enhance your political campaign. They are lies, pure and simple. And all Christians who truly love God should beware of this concerted effort to shamelessly deceive them.

“For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.” Romans 16:18

Don’t be naive.
